Just getting started with JK.
Trying to get a good connection for jamming with my friends.
Imac computer, Focusrite Scarlett Solo, ethernet connection.
When I set up the audio in Jamkazam it says my two tracks look good with 13.11 ms audio latency but when i start a solo session to look at the stats, it says 43.8ms latency.
Why is that? Would it change in a real session with friends?
What can I do to lessen latency in this system?
thanks
Bud

hi all.
yes! I've searched but haven't found an answer.
using Focusrite solo (1st gen). jamkazam partners sounds clear and they can hear me clearly but I hear intermittent breaking up / crackling (of my instrument only) on my end. it's not normal distortion and I see no clipping or anything red on my end. I've lowered / raised my frame size to all values but it's still there.
thoughts?

No input signal getting into Jamkazam |

Problem is:
No Audio getting to others and no audio showing on input audio meter in Jamkazam “my live tracks” session.
Setup is iMac computer running Catalina 10.15.4.
Direct ethernet connection running to router testing 89mbps down and 6mbps up.
I have Musical instruments and mics into a mixer and then one mono signal going to my interface.
Interface is a Focusrite Scarlett Solo gen3.
Input into Focusrite is on input 2 with instrument button off. Direct Monitor button off.
Lights on Focusrite show input signals coming in and if I turn on Direct Monitor then I can hear the signals in my headphones attached to the Focusrite.
Focusrite Control App shows:
Input Settings…Line input on Analogue 2
Output Routing … Says “Output routing is not supported on this device” ??????
Jamkazam audio settings input and outputs:
Session Audio input is Scarlett Solo USB-Left
Session Audio Outputs is Scarlett Solo USB-Left and Scarlett Solo USB-right.
Stats look good except for Audio Interface Latency of 43.8ms. Why?
Audio Profiles show :
In/Out Scarlett Solo USB and
System Default (Playback Only)
And I did give Jamkazam permission to use the Mac mic.
Any help much appreciated !
Bud

Samson USB microphone |

I'm trying to set up a Samson C01U Pro mic in JK. I get a series of rather puzzling warning and error messages as follows: - Unable to open input audio device Microphone (Samson C01U Pro Mic).
- No compatible sample rate (32000) found on audio device
- Your input device sample rate is 48000 and different from your selected sample rate 96000. For best performance select 48000 as the sample rate.
- Your output audio device default sample rate is 48000 and different from the input device sample rate 44100. For best performance use your Sound setup (found in Windows Control Panel)
- Invalid Audio Device
It appears this audio device is not currently connected. Attach the device to your computer and restart the application or select a different device. If you think your gear is connected and working: Try a different sample rate
The Samson works fine with all my other audio software: Skype, Zoom, Camtasia. What's going on?
Thanks, Doug

I'm also a Mac user getting this Network error message:
"Independent mapping, independent filter, random port, hairpin"
Based on jamjam Administrator’s post, I’ve done the following:
• Under my Apple Airport Express router, “Enable NAT Port Mapping Protocol” is CHECKED on.
• Called my ISP (Spectrum) and was told I do indeed have a public IP address assigned to my router.
• Added JamKazam to my list of allowed apps in my Firewall.
After all this, tried to start sessions and it still does not work, still getting the same error message:
"Independent mapping, independent filter, random port, hairpin”.
Please help. Thank you!
