Installing the new Windows 10, version 2004 update fixed my issues with livestreaming to YouTube. JamKazam would always crash when trying to livestream. I haven't had any problems since updating Windows.

In a two-person session today we noticed that the guy on the other end could hear my MP3 player running a backing track from my phone into my interface and then into jamkazam,  but when I started playing my guitar which is using a second jamkazam track it tended to drown out the backing song.... it seems like all of the various volume and pan controls that you see in the JK interface only affect what you are hearing with no ability to adjust the balance between multiple sound sources as heard by your friends....... and on their end they seem to only have a master volume in terms of what you're sending them.....
this could very well be an interface problem since I'm using a Roland HS 5 session mixer that I don't fully understand yet as my interface....
the Roland has four stereo channels and those all show up in jamkazam via the asio driver.

I had a dream .
I dreamed of opening Jamkazam and realizing that all users had correctly updated their profile and it was possible to immediately see in which part of the world they lived and which instrument they played. I dreamed that it was possible to identify the session to enter knowing already before that there were no people from the other end of the world with a total latency of 80-100-200 ms or others playing the same instrument (especially if bass or drums). I dreamed that all users had now understood that it is essential to have an audio interface with a latency possibly not exceeding 10 ms (there are many on the market also very cheap) and that you cannot connect if you have an internet connection from the 90s or WiFi. I dreamed that all users avoided entering sessions where the majority of the musicians were from another continent because they understood that in these cases there is no possibility of having acceptable latencies and one can only play in an uncoordinated way. I dreamed that users had understood that entering a session that is going well by bringing in their own 80-100-200 ms of delay can only destroy it by increasing all the latencies of others musicians and also adding annoying noises. I dreamed that everyone understood that sessions with 12 people cannot be done. In short, I dreamed that all users of this wonderful program called Jamkazam committed themselves to rational and correct behavior in everyone's interest.
… .. Then I woke up….

Hi, am trying to select and test audio gear for first time with my Focusrite Scarlett 18i8, and it is not showing in the drop down menus audio input and output ('Built-in' only - see screenshot). Any ideas?

The restart function does not work for the Mac client. Please fix.

It would be very useful for JK to have the ability to renegotiate the p2p connection with no audio individuals in a session with out leaving the session. Some of the no audio individuals are folks I have previously had a good connection with. There is no indication as to why there is now no connection with them. Perhaps resync could try to renegotiate less than perfect p2p connections within a session.

I am trying to use Jamkazam with a friend. I was playing violin and she was playing viola. We both used laptops with Windows 10. Her sound to me was a good volume with no clicks, etc. She said my sound to her was too low. We tried a number of things, but nothing improved the volume. If we increased the volume in Jamkazam on my computer, the sound increased but with interference (clicks and static). What must I do or buy to correct this problem? I am a newbie, just trying to get up and running - I can get right through the Audio Gear setup, and can hear my Voc and my Guitar through the headset with all latency factors in the Green.

When I try to join a session, the program just disappears - it crashes. 

I am on Windows 10, more than adequately meeting the requirements. Using my Behringer X Air 18 as my interface.

Any thoughts or solutions? I would really appreciate the help

I have a Focusrite 4i4 3rd Gen which works very happily but I came across this slightly curious thing today when exploring

1 Set up the Focusrite via Audio Gear with a setting of 44100 - mine fails every time leaving a *440* samples

2 What I would normally do is to set it up at 96000 and 16 and it works every time and produces this result - https://screenrec.com/share/oLAWSergdY

I have a Microsoft Surface Pro 7.  I am trying to set up JamKazam using just the built in mic and speakers.  My Audio Input Device list is:  

Headset microphone (@System32\drivers\...) 
Headset microphone – WDM;  
Microphone Array 1 (Realtek HD Audio Mic input with SST)-WDM;  
Microphone Array 2 (Realtek HD Audio Mic input with SST)-WDM;  
Microphone Array 3 (Realtek HD Audio Mic input with SST)-WDM;  
PC Speaker (Realtek HD Audio and output with SST) – WDM;  
PC Speaker (Realtek HD Audio output with SST) – WDM

Output Audio Device list is:
Headphones 1 (Realtek HD Audio and output with SST) – WDM 
Headphones 2 (Realtek HD Audio and output with SST) – WDM 
Headset Earphone (@System32\drivers\...) 
Speakers 1 (Realtek HD Audio output with SST) – WDM 
Speakers 2 (Realtek HD Audio output with SST) – WDM

Regardless of what combination of input and output devices I select, I get the error message “It appears this audio device is not currently connected.  Attach the device to your computer and restart the application, or select a different device.  If you think your gear is connected and working, try a different sample rate.”

I would greatly appreciate some help.

Other info: Surface Pro 7 has USB 3.0 and USB C ports, and a combo mic/headphones jack. No other apps were running when I attempted the JK setup, and I followed the advice in another post to go to Sound Control Panel and turn off "allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" for speakers and mics.
