my volume going to other player too low |

I am trying to use Jamkazam with a friend. I was playing violin and she was playing viola. We both used laptops with Windows 10. Her sound to me was a good volume with no clicks, etc. She said my sound to her was too low. We tried a number of things, but nothing improved the volume. If we increased the volume in Jamkazam on my computer, the sound increased but with interference (clicks and static). What must I do or buy to correct this problem? Otherwise, we were very pleased with Jamkazam and look forward to jamming with others. Thanks. M. Moore, madandjim@yahoo.com

JK crashes when I try to join a session |

I am a newbie, just trying to get up and running - I can get right through the Audio Gear setup, and can hear my Voc and my Guitar through the headset with all latency factors in the Green.
When I try to join a session, the program just disappears - it crashes.
I am on Windows 10, more than adequately meeting the requirements. Using my Behringer X Air 18 as my interface.
Any thoughts or solutions? I would really appreciate the help

Microsoft Surface Pro 7 audio gear setup |

I have a Microsoft Surface Pro 7. I am trying to set up JamKazam using just the built in mic and speakers. My Audio Input Device list is:
Headset microphone (@System32\drivers\...)
Headset microphone – WDM;
Microphone Array 1 (Realtek HD Audio Mic input with SST)-WDM;
Microphone Array 2 (Realtek HD Audio Mic input with SST)-WDM;
Microphone Array 3 (Realtek HD Audio Mic input with SST)-WDM;
PC Speaker (Realtek HD Audio and output with SST) – WDM;
PC Speaker (Realtek HD Audio output with SST) – WDM
Output Audio Device list is:
Headphones 1 (Realtek HD Audio and output with SST) – WDM
Headphones 2 (Realtek HD Audio and output with SST) – WDM
Headset Earphone (@System32\drivers\...)
Speakers 1 (Realtek HD Audio output with SST) – WDM
Speakers 2 (Realtek HD Audio output with SST) – WDM
Regardless of what combination of input and output devices I select, I get the error message “It appears this audio device is not currently connected. Attach the device to your computer and restart the application, or select a different device. If you think your gear is connected and working, try a different sample rate.”
I would greatly appreciate some help.
Other info: Surface Pro 7 has USB 3.0 and USB C ports, and a combo mic/headphones jack. No other apps were running when I attempted the JK setup, and I followed the advice in another post to go to Sound Control Panel and turn off "allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" for speakers and mics.

Error messages and greyed out participants |

When I try to enter sessions, everyone or almost everyone is greyed out and unavailable to me. I get numerous error messages:
"network changes packet numbers","network send error, please close and reopen," "audio device IO is not stable"...
I am using a Mac, OS 10.15.4, ethernet connection, with a Behringer 202HD. I have configured my network/router as best
I could from the advice I've read. Here are details of the router settings selected:
Connect using DHCP
Configure IPv6 automatically, enable IPv6 connection sharing
Router mode DHCP and NAT
Jamkazam has an address listed under DHCP reservation
I've set all public and private UDP/TCP ports to 12000-12010
Under network options:
Enable NAT port mapping protocol
Block incoming IPv6 connections
Allow incoming IPSec authentication
I frankly have no idea what most of this means. What is UPnP? I am NOT tech savvy. Can anyone help? I just wanna play the drums all day.

Need access to buffer size |

Three members of my quartet have the same interface, Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 3rd gen. We're getting clicks from all three of them, probably due to buffer underruns. Two are on Windows 10, one on macOS. We need to increase the buffer size a bit to prevent the underruns. I know this will increase latency, but we'll gladly put up with a few additional milliseconds of delay to eliminate the clicks.
Can you add the ability to adjust the buffer size?
Thanks!

Zoom R16 failed latency test |

Hi
I was surprised to find that when I use my Zoom R 16 mixer in Audio interface mode it is rejected on set up test for high latency. OK, I am using basic equipment but I am using a wired Ethernet, and also surprisingly, the onboad laptop hardware sound input, Realtek built in mic, WAS accepted.
Zoom results below ASIO and WDM
Line (ZOOM R16_24 Audio Interface) -WDM
Result: Latency 25.67ms
Your latency is poor
ZOOM R16_24 ASIO Driver-ASIO
Result: Latency 97391544ms (No decimal places!?!? Thats about 3 hours I think)
Can anyone advise on settings?
Incidentally I have tried ways to mute my mic input as I am new and joining pages just to test and don't want to disturb the sessions by introducing exrta latency but I am not sure how to do this. In Windows sound settings I can disable the mic, and I get flahed up notifications saying that various session members are getting no audio from me, but in fact on the first session I tried the group leader on mic said that eeryone COULD hear me. Can anyone explain this?
Many thanks
Windows 10 64 bit
Dell Latitude 3470 with i3-6100U cpu
Interface:
Zoom R16 in Audio Interface mode, Windows drivers downloaded
Other on board hardware:
Jack mic Realtek WDM
Microphone array Realtek WDM
Realtek ASIO
Stereo mix WDM

Hi
My Instrument, saxophone, is not displayed in "my tracks" slider bar when I join a session, so none can see what instrument I play. It just says I am an "other" with an icon of a musical note.
I have refreshed my profile and confirmed that the saxophone box is checked. Can anyone help?
Thanks
My setup
Windows 10 64 bit
Dell Latitude 3470 with i3-6100U cpu
Interface:
Zoom R16 in Audio Interface mode, Windows drivers downloaded. NB I can't use this, too much latency, (separate issue!) so using the on board stuff
Other on board hardware:
Jack mic Realtek WDM
Microphone array Realtek WDM
Realtek ASIO
Stereo mix WDM

Latency help |

Just getting started with JK.
Trying to get a good connection for jamming with my friends.
Imac computer, Focusrite Scarlett Solo, ethernet connection.
When I set up the audio in Jamkazam it says my two tracks look good with 13.11 ms audio latency but when i start a solo session to look at the stats, it says 43.8ms latency.
Why is that? Would it change in a real session with friends?
What can I do to lessen latency in this system?
thanks
Bud

crackle break up from Focusrite solo |

hi all.
yes! I've searched but haven't found an answer.
using Focusrite solo (1st gen). jamkazam partners sounds clear and they can hear me clearly but I hear intermittent breaking up / crackling (of my instrument only) on my end. it's not normal distortion and I see no clipping or anything red on my end. I've lowered / raised my frame size to all values but it's still there.
thoughts?
