I was a bit taken back when I started using the app and discovered that the WAVES plugins were not being recognized. I refused to give up and found a solution for getting these to work. Buckle up, because this procedure is somewhat complex. However, I believe most of your waves plugins will work if you use this.

** CAUTION ** 
One of the steps requires you to download a file from an independent developer on the interwebs. DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK! I am not the author and not responsible for any potential consequences. If it helps, I ran it on my system and have noticed no negative issues.

This procedure was tested on Windows 10! This is not likely to run on Mac unless you know how to run Windows compiled binaries on OSX.

When using JamKazam, you may disappointed that your favorite VST plugins just aren’t being found. This is particularly evident with WAVES VST plugins. I found a method that can be used to install most WAVES plugins. The following was tested on Windows 10 and will not work on Mac, unless you can find another way to use one of the windows programs required in this instruction set. To get started, simply follow these steps.


How To Install

Make sure the 32-bit versions of the WAVES plugins are installed!

Find the install directory

This is vital, because JamKazam does not support 64-bit VST plugins. Therefore, you MUST install 32-bit versions of the plugins. You should be able to find a legacy installer on the WAVES website to get these. Download the legacy installer and install the 32-bit plugins.

To check if you already have them installed, open up the directory where WAVES installed your plugins. If you’re not sure where this is, it should be located in the following location:

1. Click windows start menu
   
   
2. Type cmd
   
   
3. At the top of the start, under Best Match, right click on the item underneath Command Prompt and a menu should popup
   
   
4. Select Run as administrator
   
   

After a disastrous attempt to add Amplitube 5 as a Plug In I’m now trying routing my bass through Logic Pro to get a bit of sound enhancement.

I’m using a Mac with a Motu M2 AI going into Logic Pro and am using Blackhole to route the output. All settings seem to be on 44.1khz and JK is set on ‘Match’ so that all seems to be consistent but every so often I got a quite loud random crackling noise.  Nothing seems to be clipping and the crackling can come when I am not even playing.

All other settings are the same if I just use the M2 direct so it seems like there may be something in Logic I need to change.

Any thoughts or ideas very welcome!

The search feature on the home screen (click Musicians button, then Search button) gives you search criteria like genre, age, etc. Could add to that two other search criteria:

1. Checkbox labeled "Available": would only show musicians meeting your search criteria and who are signed in but not in a session.
2. Allow filtering or sorting by date of last access (in addition to the latency sort option). I think there are quite a few 'stale' accounts that come up in a search.

When looking at friends that are online, the status line under their name always says "Available". However, a lot of times I know those people are in a session.

Suggestion: change the status display so that it says "In Session" if a person is in a session, otherwise "Available" if they are signed in but not in a session.

Hi - using the current version of Addictive Drums.  VST installed in its default location of C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins.  XLN doesn't appear to offer a 32-bit VST anymore.  Jamkazam not seeing the VST.  Same with Superior Drummer 3. What do I do since they no longer offer 32-bit VST's?

We are looking for an electric guitar player and also a keyboard player for a band that plays regularly in JamKazam sessions (possibly at least once a week) a musical genre oriented towards: David Crosby, James Taylor, CPR, etc. . We are already three: singer / acoustic guitarist, bassist and drummer. Level is intermediate/adv. Until recently we had another member of the band, lead electric guitar / vocals, but due to work commitments he had to abandon the project. We are in Italy and for latency reasons it would be better if anyone who wants to join our band was in Europe and with a good internet connection. Welcome anyone who wants to join.

When Friends come on/off line and join a session, those messages are too big and are in the middle of the screen. Please move them near/over the notification area, and the ability to turn those notification OFF while in a session.

I am a new user to JK, and tried to connect with a friend to try out this platform. my friend was able to hear his bass and my guitar very clearly on his end. however, i was only able to hear my guitar, and not his bass on my end. we live about 10 miles away from each other, so distance shouldn't be an issue. i had his bass turned up all the way in my mix, but it wasn't coming through. also, his indicator lights on my dashboard were showing signal activity. anyone experience this? hopefully it's a small oversight on my part.

I got Amplitube 5 just over a week ago and found that when I next tried to use JamKazam it crashed within 10 seconds of starting or joining a session every time.

I can only use JK by deleting every single file related to Amplitube which is a shame as it wasn’t cheap.  

I’m using a Mac which is still on Catalina as it’s too old to update any further but does anyone know if it’s possible to have Amp 5 on my Mac and still be able to use JK? Not sure if there is something in the settings that would allow them to coexist - even if it’s not possible to use it as a plug in for JK.

Also, I’ve tried several times to delete and re set up the audio gear and every time, when I select my audio interface (Motu M2) it makes a horrendously loud buzzing.  If I ignore this and carry on with the set up it does all seem to work but I don’t think it should be making this sort of noise.  Wondering if this could also be related to Amplitube but I haven’t done an audio gear set up for over a year so o don’t know if this has also changed recently.
