From the Session>Audio Settings gear icon, the Configure Tracks window opens. At this stage, regardless of what action is taken in the window, it will not Dismiss/Close. The only way to get back to the Session is to Force Quit the App, Relaunch, and go back into the session.
Note: I realize my example is showing, no inputs specified, but this also happens when I have my Audio Device setup.
You guys probably know about this already. The Musician search isn't working By Distance or Latency.
Specifically, I'm in Norther California and 5 miles away from another JK User. We don't come up for each other when using Search. The results i'm getting appear to be for different states, and possibly a different country.
I realize many profiles do not specify a location, maybe filter those out so they are not seen.
And, latency shows only Unknown for all users
I have JK running on my windows 7 laptop and I'm about to put a new SSD and install Windows 10. When I install JK again on it, I'd like to be able to just transfer my settings that are now working on my Windows 7 system. Where is that config data stored and can I just copy it to the new drive? Or is there a better backup/restore plan in place?
Just wanted to mention that for the past week I was getting no JK output at all through the MOTU interface on my MacBook Pro. Today, JK's Peter Walker totally fixed it for me, using a JK menu command I wasn't aware of:
I am not sure if someone already do this, can I use 2 audio interface together at the same time?
I have native instrument komplete audio 2 and a helix lt and I want to use these two at the same time so that I can use the 2 inputs of komplete audio as vocals and helix lt for my instrument.
The latest update has 'Sticky VU' and 'Auto Resync' as new options. Anyone have a clue as to what these are? Easy enough to guess regarding Auto Resync, but does anyone really want Resyncs happening in the middle of a jam, since they temporarily disconnect audio?
I am in Atlanta the other musicians I was playing with last night are in New York and Minnesota. i have a solid internet connection (220 - 250 Mbps download 10 Mbps upload) i am using a Presonus AudioBox iTwo. I am using one of the connections for vocals and the other for an acoustic guitar. In the last couple of weeks, i get cut off and get a fast clipping sound that only stops when i hit the re-sync button. Last night this was happening every 20 - 30 seconds until i gave up the session.
I went back in on my own and set a solo session and didnt have any of the interference. For argument's sake i recorded the couple of songs that i did in this session , just so that i could prove i was going through the application
I have a mediocre DSL connection: ~8 Mbps download, ~1 Mbps upload and typically ping of 30-40 ms.
My Ethernet connection to a 2017 MacBook Air is via a USB 3 to Ethernet.
Does anyone know if I could expect any better results if I bought a Thunderbolt-to-Ethernet adapter?
I've been trying to get this up and running in a reliable way for awhile now. It's unbelievably frustrating. Hoping someone can shed some light here. I've tried about every network config I can come up with to no avail.
My current config is 64 bit Windows 10. I disabled the firewalls on both Windows and my router. I also have uPNP enabled and have a static IP configured on my internal network with routing rules applied at my router for ports 12000-12020 to this PC. I don't have a static public IP (dynamic IP) so my router should take any traffic directed to these ports and route them to this PC.
When I try to join a session, 90% of the time I get no audio from peers. Occasionally, 1-2 people will connect fine but most of the time it just says No Audio (and I get all the warning that there is no audio stream to the peers).
Network tests all say there are no network tests available (assuming this has either been disabled by JamKazam or they just can't handle all the people trying to test).
I've tried without port rules, using a single UDP port, smaller range of ports, etc.
I have a fiber connections which is very fast. It's hard wired. The troubleshooting tools are useless.
Using a Presonus AudioBox 96 USB which seems to test out at about 3-4 ms (good).
Any idea why I can't seem to get audio from 90%+ of the sessions?
