  Latency
Posted by: mchron1222 - 06-03-2020, 09:06 PM - Forum: Miscellaneous - Replies (2)

I am using a Focusrite I/O and my ISP is Comcast Infinity, hard wired directly to the modem.  When I start a session, my latency is 42.6 ms before doing anything.  It is always this exact amount, so I think something isn't set up correctly.  When I run a speed test is usually shows about 21ms, with 200- 350 mbps download and 11 upload mbps.  Anyone have any suggestions.

  Keyboard not recognized/sounding
Posted by: nbridgman - 06-03-2020, 04:40 AM - Forum: Help with Audio Gear - Replies (7)

Hi, I'm trying to set up Jamkazam on my MacBook Pro, but it does not recognize my keyboard. I know the keyboard works because it plays fine in Logic, and my M-Audio interface works too because I can hear sound in Logic through the headphones connected to it. But when I go to "live tracks" in Jamkazam and play a few notes, nothing registers, and when I try to record, the recording is just silent. Anyone have any ideas how I can get Jamkazam to recognize my keyboard?
Thanks,
Nick

  Problems with Live Broadcast
Posted by: diecidue - 06-03-2020, 12:04 AM - Forum: Live Streaming to YouTubeLive and FaceBook - Replies (2)

I have been trying to live broadcast for a few days now with very poor results.  I have tried both facebook and youtube.  Here is what typically happens.  The video pauses and I get errors saying that the video feed is not smooth (or something like that).  The audio either doesn't work or it is choppy at best.  Jamkazam crashes and says it can not get control of the video window.

Overall, I can not get this to work.  Are others having the same problem?  Is there a work around or solution to this?

New to JamKazam and no audio even on setup
Posted by: charlie.i - 06-02-2020, 10:13 PM - Forum: Help with Audio Gear - Replies (19)

Hi
I've just tried to set up JamKazam using a Focusrite Scarlett 616. I can see that signal is going in and latency is fair but when I click the play button - nothing.  I'm going into a MacBook Air Retina 2016 - is this a known problem?  I can get no sound on playback at all.
Like many others I'm experiencing a degree of frustration!

  Basic setup without audio interface
Posted by: alan - 06-02-2020, 04:55 PM - Forum: Help with Audio Gear - Replies (6)

How do I use JamKazam without an audio interface?
I just want to use the built-in mic in my laptop for input and headphones for the output?  On step 2 of the setup there is no option for that.
I'd also like to just use a USB mic instead of the built-in mic.

  Problems with Behringer FCA610, Help!
Posted by: Ben Jones - 06-02-2020, 04:34 PM - Forum: Help with Audio Gear - Replies (5)

I have been testing JK today and whilst my drummer had no issues with his gear, mine seemed to never be able to receive a signal from my interface.

- I am using a Behringer FCA610
- I had my bass guitar plugged into channel 1 and 2 (tried both in the test)
- I am running a Macbook Pro 2016 w/ Catalina
- My connection train is - Firewire - adapter - USB C adapter - Mac.
- I have never had a problem with my interface on Logic, Garageband etc.

I feel like I have tried anything and I am new to the platform today, so I thought I would see if anyone could help offer any guidance. I see that certain interfaces don't seem to work with JK so I assume it could be as simple as that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

JamKazam stops on startup if audio gear ihas frequency set to 48000 (48K)
Posted by: marco.boschi@tiscali.it - 06-02-2020, 09:50 AM - Forum: Help with Windows Client Problems - Replies (2)

I all , i'm new of the forum so i'm not sure if this is the right place for this kind of topic...

I have found that on win10 (that usually runs audio 44K by default ) ...  if i set my audio gear to 48K ...

when i try to start jamkazam,... it stop with a little white blank dialog in the middle of the screen ( i guess it tries to test the configuration at that stage.)
If i set my audio gear at 44100 (44k) jamkazam starts OK .... and then , when subsequentrlyi start a session it correctly turns audio gear frequency to 48K (as i configured my audio gear in jamkazam)

note that i've already set all other win10 apps and also the default in control panel to my audio gear at 48K  and i ìve no issues with any other programs ...(zoom,teams,skype,cubase,reaper,jamulus, windows audio etc)...

this is annoing because i've to to change audio frequency before running  jamkazam ... knowing that jamkazam is really able to do that (later it works at 48K without any problem.... the fault is only when it start)

tks in adv for any suggestion or help to avoid this ...

  Waves Plugins
Posted by: NineEyes - 06-01-2020, 03:53 PM - Forum: Help with Audio Effects Plugins - Replies (3)

I purchased the Waves Maserati ACG plugin, installed and licensed it on my 64-bit Windows 10 PC, and pointed JamKazam to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves\Plug-Ins V11" (as described for Pro Tools b/c there are no instructions for JamKazam).  JamKazam doesn't find it.

Is anyone successfully using Waves plugins?

only 1 track works in session
Posted by: phollis@tx-watt.com - 06-01-2020, 07:26 AM - Forum: Help with Audio Gear - Replies (1)

My friend and I started up a session today (after the mandatory update) and we each had successfully set up 2 tracks. When we join in a session only the first of our 2 tracks appears in the other's session window, while we each see both functional tracks in our personal window.  Anybody else experiencing this?

  Playback Audio Volume
Posted by: Ferd - 06-01-2020, 01:33 AM - Forum: Help with Audio Gear - Replies (1)

Audio Input/Output and mic successfully setup, windows 10 pro, behringer fca1616/Behringer drivers, ASIO4All won't work, heard sound in mic test at setup, have ports forwarded in Router, hardwired to router, guitar plugged into Line 6 HD500x and ported out to input on Behringer, headphones plugged into Bedringer, USB connected to Behringer, Behringer Control panel set to 88MHz (if set to anything else client won't open)
When playing in Solo session, latency and all indicators are green, hear my audio mix just fine, start a recording, but can barely hear playback at all, have fiddled with every volume setting via Audio Booster, individual session sliders and mixer sliders, and various input and headphone gain knobs on behringer, nothing helps
When I join public sessions, I hear myself just fine, but can barely hear others
