Set session genre preference |

It would be great if each user had the option of setting a session genre preference in their profile. That way, for those of us who primarily play something other than Pop wouldn't have to change the genre for every session...or have the session listed as Pop, if we forget.
I suggest that it be an optional preference setting, realizing that some people play multiple genres.
Thanks for considering this.

Unable to invite Users |

I am trying to build my local JamKazam community by inviting Pro Players that I know. I seem to have run out of "invites" since when I try to invite new people I get this error message. "Unable to Invite Users. base max invites sent by this account"
Is there really a limit to how many potential new musicians that I can introduce to JamKazam?
Thanks,
teetosh

DSlite IPv4, IPv6 - can Problem be solved |

Dear all,
I have managed to do sessions with one person after some attempts. It seems to be at random but when we try a little it's possible to get a bidirectional connection between each other.
But all attempts to connect with more than one person fails, my research showed, that is because my internect connection is DSlite and I have no "real" IPv4 adress.
Can this problem be solved somewhere in the future?

Unable to Broadcast from Windows 7 or 10 |

Brand new PC with Windows 10. Can join sessions no problem but if I try to broadcast using any of the options I get 3 messages First Video cannot be sent to stream, then similar message for audio then Stream shuts down.
I have access to a Mac which works fine so it doesn't appear to be a networking issue. I've compared settings and they both appear to be the same.
Ive also tried on an old windows 7 machine and the same problem, unable to broadcast..
Anyone able to be a broadcaster successfully on a windows machine? any tips or thoughts as to what's wrong?

Zoom H4 - ASIO via USB2 - on WIN7 |

I finally managed to get some stability using a Zoom H4.
If these comments and tips help anyone - great!
Hardware setup:
- on old H4 portable recorder (2 integrated microphones and 2 XLR line imputs)
- an old laptop running WIN7
- USB2 cable to link H4 to the laptop
- headphones connected to H4 (well obviously)
H4 Firmware and Drivers
- mine was running Ver-1 firmware which does not operate ASIO
- it needs an upgrade to Ver2.4 which was downloaded from Zoom site
- to upgrade, place the 'system.bin' file in the root directory of the SD card (that is inside H4)
- power up H4 with an external power supply and while pressing the round MENU button down
- ASIO driver is also downloaded from the Zoom site and installed on the laptop
- here is a tip, if the driver does not install at first, try installing it in a compatibility mode
- to do this > right click on the driver file > click Properties > select 'Compatibility' tab > select a compatibility mode e.g. XP or Vista
J-K Setup- if the H4 does not pass J-K latency test at first, click 'Tweaking ASIO Device Parameters' - a link below some notes on the right of the window
- open ASIO Control Panel (can also be opened by MANAGE > AUDIO PROPERTIES > CONFIGURATIONS > ASIO...
- adjust latency on ASIO to 10mSec (mine was set to 2msec and was failing J-K latency tests until I adjusted it to 10mSec)
- at that stage everything was 'smooth sailing'
- use 44kHz as the sampling rate
- in 'next steps' of the J-K setup process, choose audio inputs (microphones in my case) and outputs (Line / Headphones)
That's it - hope it works for you too!
Cheers, Lex

Live Stream Shutdown BT Smart Hub 2 |

Hi, newish user here. I have a new laptop and have loaded JK and can start it up, audio interface working OK and I can join sessions and hear users OK.
When I try to broadcast, either as a broadcaster (for my mates who have a band) or if I select Performer and Broadcaster, when I click Staet Broadcast it starts and within a few seconds I get an error saying Live Stream Stutdown.
I have checked my router (BT Smart Hub 2) and I have also set up UDP for ports 12000 to 12010 and configured that in JK too.
I've tried a restart, I've reloaded JK and the problem persists.
Now, to add a bit to the mix, I borrowed a Mac whilst I was waiting for my new laptop arrive and I was able to broadcast with that no problem however that too is now experiencing this same problem. Interestingly as I type this I just checked firmware update on my hub and it was yesterday..
does anyone have any thoughts/ideas?
