  no audio output
Posted by: cheekjeff5@gmail.com - 07-22-2020, 11:13 PM - Forum: Help with Audio Gear - Replies (2)

I have a steinberg UR22C audio interface.  I was asked to join my first session with friends.  They could see me but there was no audio and they said it was grayed out. I am also using an ethernet cable for my connection.  I am running Windows 10 on my computer and it recognizes the steinberg UR22C audio interface but Idon't think the Jamkazam program is recognizing it.  Can anyone help me with this?  Thanks, Jeff

  JamTrack missing Instrument Tracks
Posted by: teetosh - 07-22-2020, 09:12 PM - Forum: Help with JamTracks - No Replies

Anybody know why certain tracks of a JamTrack are getting unwantingly muted? I purchased a JamTrack for Watermelon Man and muted the Sax track so I could play the melody and solo. The piano track was unwantedly muted and I can't find it. The help page is not working.

Anybody got a solution to this? Thanks.

  Does This work for anyone???
Posted by: Larry J - 07-22-2020, 05:23 PM - Forum: Help with Live Jamming Sessions - Replies (22)

I am about to delete Jamkazam from my computer and thought I'd throw this out there before I do. I was so pumped when I first discovered Jamkazam but honestly after two months of reading peoples posts and tweaking every setting possible, I just have to ask, is anyone using it successfully?  I'll be the first to admit I'm not the most tech savvy guy but geeze.... Anyway it'll be curious to see what replies I get, and honestly I'm am so hoping someone says "yes, it works great" and could possibly enlighten me as to what I'm doing wrong. I've watched so many YouTube vids of people playin together so effortlessly, it's crazy to think that I am doing something so wrong to make it not work at all.

  Standardization of sampling rate
Posted by: MartinB - 07-21-2020, 09:18 PM - Forum: Help with Audio Gear - Replies (7)

I am surprised to not read any recommendation about standardization of sampling rates and number of bits per sample.

From my simple understanding, differences in sampling rates should lead to additional effort and artefacts during resampling.

Any hints / comments / experiences ?

Reducing latency by increasing the sampling rate to extreme values like 96 kHz does not make sense to me

  Recorded audio volume very low
Posted by: chrismacor - 07-21-2020, 05:05 AM - Forum: Help with Audio Gear - Replies (5)

I'm trying to set up Jamkazam.
Using focusrite clarett with Mac pro elcapitan
Could not get Ableton Live to work so I decided to use effects in my qsc touchmix mixer sending a single output into clarett.
Setup all volumes to the max levels before distortion but the recorded mpeg has very low audio level.
Any suggestions?
Thanks so much,
Christopher

my live track... no volume adjust
Posted by: arthputy - 07-21-2020, 05:05 AM - Forum: Help with Audio Gear - Replies (4)

i've got a behringer 404hd and was working great but now, for some reason, the volume will not adjust with my live tracks column and when muted, I still hear my instruments through my headphones and my band mates can't hear me until I un mute. Whats going on here.

installing on 2nd device, moving jamtracks with it?
Posted by: jeffkazam - 07-21-2020, 03:41 AM - Forum: Help with Mac Client Problems - Replies (1)

I've just signed up for JamKazam today.

To check it out initially I installed the app on my laptop (MacBook Pro) and downloaded my free JamTrack.

But I actually have my nice audio interface etc on a different computer (an iMac).  I guess I can log in there and install the software, but will it bring that Free JamTrack along with it or can I copy it over somehow, or do I have to buy a 2nd copy or ... ?

I've been a skeptic of this whole "jamming together on the internet" idea but some friends from where I take guitar lessons are using it so it can't hurt to give it a try.

How to set default Buffer size with Scarlett 2i2
Posted by: cgzello - 07-20-2020, 03:32 AM - Forum: Help with Audio Gear - Replies (11)

There are times when I'm starting up a session when my latency is too high, so I have a red dot.  And the Scarlett 2i2 (3rd Gen) Device Settings pop up window will default to Buffer Size of *880*.  I don't know how this is happening, as I change it back down to 64, hit Resync, and it will go back to *880*.

It seems to be better if I have my Ableton DAW open.  Should I open my DAW before I start JamKazam?

How do I get the Buffer size to stick?  Can I set a default of 64 somehow, as it seems to do what it wants before it calms down?

Thanks.

How to Set Up for Stereo?
Posted by: raychew - 07-19-2020, 07:37 PM - Forum: Help with Audio Gear - Replies (14)

I'm trying to set up a stereo input in JamKazam and the solution is eluding me. It seems like I've set everything up right and I see both channels in my session as well as in the power mixer. I can pan left and right and it works through my headphones. However, everyone else in the session only hears it coming in mono. They can pan my feed left and right but they don't hear the stereo mix I'm sending. What am I missing? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Ray

Can't make it work in Windows
Posted by: André Luis Fujiwara - 07-19-2020, 04:45 PM - Forum: Help with Audio Gear - Replies (3)

I'm having troubles when configuring the audio input/output in jamkazam. It worked fine in my two (very old) Macs, but it just don't work in my bandmates' Windows PCs. I tried it in four different computers, all of them with JamKazam's system requeriments. And I also tried all of them with different interfaces (iMic, Line6 KB37, MX-4BT), as well as the computers mic inputs. I keep receiving an Invalid Audio Device message and a warning about a difference in the sample rate of my input and the one selected in Jamkazam. I tried to change this in Jamkazam's sample rate box, I tried to change it in the computers' audio control panel and it just don't work. Can you help me?
