Sound and latency issues switching from old MacBook Pro to new HP LAptop

I originally had an old MacBook Pro (either 2012 or 13..I can’t remember already.)
Worked like a charm on Jamkazam with my USB Samson Mic(no audio interface).
Now that I’m on a PC (HP 17”laptop) quad core processor (i5), it has trouble picking up the mic, even after it has been tested in audio gear. Sometimes, it works and sometimes I have to reinstall over and over.
The Ethernet is in and WiFi off, but latency is still around anywhere between 13 and 20). On the MacBook Pro, I was getting green all the time at around 8 or even 6.
The sound of other people’s my last session this week was very low and I could not turn them up higher on my end. They said they heard each other loud and clear and could hear me very well but I could hardly hear them.
Also, when I joined with them, they kept getting booted out and had some reds on their stats. Perhaps, my issues were effecting the session..?
What can I do to make this better? Thank you!

I would like to request the ability for Users to Block other Users and/or turn off receiving Notifications about other Users' activity and to be able to block other Users from receiving notifications about your own activity.
The constant notifications about your Friends' entering and leaving sessions and the application is very annoying and sometimes, you just want to be on JK without having your Friends alerted to your every move. Thx for your consideration !!

At the audio gear set up the "Choose" dropdown has only 'choose' and 'built in'. My UMC404hd is not there. If i click built in, which it automatically does anyway, its all green with 5ms latency. If i go to the next page with this built in BS it wont follow the link to update audio.

I realize that we can share a pdf via chat once we're in a session. I've seen this be very handy for everyone in a session to know the chords and lyrics.
My question/suggestion is: can we have a repository of files that we can access and share quickly and conveniently.
Better yet, what if I could have an index of the songs in my repertoire to serve as a suggestion bank and everyone can click on the one we agree to do.
Taking it one step further, perhaps a crowd-sourced library...

Running sync resets my buffer to 4096

Hi all,
I just checked to see that my audio card is one that, according to Kevin K.'s post "List of Audio Interfaces", is confirmed to work with JamKazam (M-Audio Delta 24/96). The specs of my computer are:
FX4130 quad core
16GB RAM
1 TB SSD
2 TB traditional drive
M-Audio Delta 24/96 typically set to a buffer size of 256, works well enough in S1 and Ableton, and 48K sample rate.
Windows 10 Pro
Wired internet connection
This should be fine enough to work with JamKazam I believe but the problem I'm having is that when trying to sync in the audio gear setup the sync resets my buffer to 4096 which fails, obviously, to meet latency requirements. I have tried to use the card itself and its ports in the input/output device selection and also ASIO but neither prevent the buffer resizing. Anybody have any recommendations on what to do to fix this? JamKazam looks like fun but it won't be if all I can do is play along with jam tracks, something I have plenty of already without need to do so online. Thanks for any help directed my way.

No one hears chat microphone

I am running JK on a 2015 Macbook Pro running Mojave with a Native Intruments Komplete Audio 6 Interface. Interface works great with other apps, Garage Band, etc.
Channel 1 input: LD Condenser mike under piano
Channel 2 input: Shure SM57 on boom in front of my face at keyboard and configured in JK as chat mike.
Chat mike shows up as separate input box when I join a session. VU indicator shows activity and I can hear myself speaking in headphones.
No one else in session can hear my chat mike. I am only heard faintly through plaino mike located far way from mouth.
Clues?

I wrote yesterday but got no reply. I see tons of people saying they cannot install JamKazam on Windows 10. I am one of them. Seriously, is there no fix for this? It's not like Windows 10 isn't very popular!
Does anyone from the company read these posts?
I need to get something that works, anybody know of a good alternative? You can private message me if you prefer.
Thanks,
Mike

configuring UMC204HD

I am trying to set up a newly purchased UMC204HD.
Every time I try to launch, I get an error that my UMC204HD is not configured properly and I am taken through steps to correct this.
The automated pathway never works, and when I opt for the manual pathway it has me open the UMC Control Panel and set ASIO buffer size to 64 (which is easy), but also set USB streaming mode to 'short latency'. However, there *is* no option for setting USB streaming mode in the UMC Control Panel. I am pretty sure I have the most recent version of the Control Panel. How do I set the USB streaming mode? What am I doing wrong. The UMC204HD was highly recommended by forums, but so far it has been frustrating to work with.
Does anyone know where I am screwing up?
Any help appreciated.
