Why are my friend and I grayed out to each other?

Hello, if this question is redundant, I apologize. I searched and did not find an answer to my question. Here goes: My friend and I have been using Jamkazam to jam together and it has worked beautifully. We can hear each other's guitars crystal clear, we are in real time together with no detectable lag, and we can talk as well, and hear each other's voices, in my case over the mic built into my computer.
Last week when we signed on to jam, we were prompted to update. And then, Jamkazam no longer worked. We are both grayed out to each other, we cannot hear each other at all, and we both get error messages, to the effect that we cannot receive audio from the other person.
I am not a computer expert, and I need to be able to use the platform seamlessly, plug and play as they say. I am on a laptop with windows 10, hard-wired internet connection, and a behringer umc202 interface.
Now that we have used Jamkazam and it worked great, it is so frustrating that it no longer works. FYI we both tried restarting our routers and computers, but no luck.
Any suggestions that can help us non-techies get back to our great jams would be deeply appreciated.

No audio input detected using audio interface

I updated my MacBookPro operating system today. Afterwards, when I opened Jamkazam, I couldn't hear anything. I could SEE audio coming in though. Then a warning popped up telling me "no audio input detected". It advised me to check my Mac microphone privacy and/or mute control. I checked those settings and see no problem. I then experimented by setting up with a URL microphone. THAT allowed me to hear perfectly. What can I do to resume effective use via my audio interface, which is a Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd generation?

We are a small chamber choir trying to record our sessions. 2 situations I need help with.
1. 4 people on the recording. 3 out of the 4 tracks recorded successfully with a full take. The last person track however only recorded 29 seconds of the take. What happened? How do I fix this for the future?
2. Tried to record in another session. There were 11 in the session. When trying to record it said that there was another session processing and I could not record. What does that mean if no one else was recording and nothing had been recorded that day at all.
Thanks!

My Mac client makes other Windows clients to crash

Hi,
After last week updates my friends and I updated our Jamkazam clients to the respective last versions:
for me using Mac is: JamKazam-1.0.3720
for my friends using Windows is: JamKazam-1.0.3881
Whenever I join their sessions all their clients crashes or are not able to see my me as producing any audio, if I create the session I am able to sometimes see some of them (the ones that not crash right after joining) but even when I see / hear them, I appears to be with no audio on their ends.
I notice that the client versions have different numbers... maybe the Mac version will be updated soon and I just need to wait? Does this happen to anybody else?

Hello everyone. I am looking for musicians to form an "on line" band. I play drums, I live in Italy and I have a good latency (always green). When I play with other European musicians with good latency the total latency is always green or yellow, never red. I'm available for any type of music of any age (except metal and disco). I would like to have an "on line" band that plays regularly every week with a specific repertoire. I no longer want to play only in improvised jam sessions without knowing what will be played. I would like everyone to prepare the songs like in a normal band. I'm not a professional musician and my level is " good intermediate ". If there is any "good latency" musician from Europe interested in a project like this, please contact me . Thank you.

Hello,
does someone now how you can connect a musician if the rest of the band is sitting all together in on rehearsal room.
The setup is the following:
all musicians in the rehearsal room connect to a mixing desk. Stereo track of mixing desk goes to interface. Interface is connected with JK. Other musician is connected with his gear to JK. The rehearsal room does not hear the musician. Does someone know how the routing of the mixing desk should be set up?
It sounds like an easy problem but we are struggling now for quite a while...

Hi, I'm trying to get off first base with this program and audio record myself playing guitar in a solo session. After I end the recording I get a pop-up saying "Recording discarded. Reason: Rest". What does that mean and how to I fix it?
I'm using the my default audio and video profile on a macbook pro in-built isight camera. Mac OSX 10.11.6, latest version of Jamkazam app. Macbook is an older one, connected to router via ethernet cable. Ping 11ms Down 25Mbps Up 4Mbps.
This setup isn't allowing me to jam with others as Jamkazam is telling me I need additional audio gear (even though I meet the basic system requirements?).
I just want to see if this software is going to work for me at all before I go buying additional audio gear as I want to jam with people in another part of the country. How can I get it to record and then go on to test my network, router etc. in a jam session with this default audio gear?
Also a help file with the router settings would be useful. I understand that UDP forwarding needs to be enabled? My ISP controls my router (this HuaWei is not user-configurable) so I need to give the ISP instructions on what I need.
Any help in getting started would be appreciated

Audio Track Icons

First, I'm happy about the update. The personal mix is handy, although different than what I thought it would be. I can adjust the levels of other musicians in personal mix, but not mine.
If a musician is sending 2 or 3 tracks ( instrument, vocal, mp3 from computer etc) you get to adjust the overall volume of one combined track, not individual levels they are sending.
Now to my current issue. When you set up an audio input, JK lets you choose various icons to identify them: electric guitar, vocal, computer, tuba, etc. Sometimes when you're done it displays the correct icon, other times it doesn't.
Anybody out there have an interface with more than 2 channels ? The problem I'm having is that when I set up a track and pick the source Icon ( guitar, vocal ,drum ,computer etc ) it shows or displays the wrong one on a fairly regular basis.. ..... My interface has 8 individual tracks so when I set the guitar up in jk it takes 1 and 2 which are the left and right of the stereo guitar... signal 3 and 4 for the microphone , 7 and 8 I'm using for playing my phone/ MP3s Into jamkazam. JK usually shows electric guitar icon for the first two tracks I set up ( each track getting two channels or inputs from my interface) even though the second track is actually capturing microphone input.
