In a session of any number of musicians (from 3 to 8+)
If the host's connection to Jamkazam is weak, can it have an immediate effect on the other musicians in the same session?
And, will they all receive a red stat because of the host's connection?
For example, if the host is on Windows 10 with ethernet and receiving a latency connection (red stat color) of approx. 20 ms, with gear driver of WDM. (No audio interface).
Using USB mic with headphones connected to mic. [Does this lessen the quality of the session for everyone (or their connection to one another)?]
Also...
Can the host's (weaker) connection cause others to get bumped off the session as well?
Would it help matters if the host and/or other musicians on Windows 10 (who are only using a USB mic or laptop mic), were to add an audio interface to their individual setup?
I've just installed the latest JK 1.0.3876 on my Windows 7 SP1 laptop. It installed fine and starts up fine and seems to work briefly but whatever I do after about 10 seconds it crashes with the following:

The previous version I had installed, 1.0.3700 didn't have this problem.
I would like to have the audio I hear during a session played into a Zoom video meeting on the same iMAC desktop
computer I am using for Jamkazam? How do I do this?
I have Asio4all installed, and whether I use that for input & output, or I just use the explicit windows driver for input, I can't get any audio input. This is just a plain Win10 machine which I'm using to show others about Jamkazam via Zoom; I'm only using vocal for audio and don't plan to attach any instruments or audio interfaces. The kicker is that everything worked properly until I ran Zoom at the same time, and now I can't get audio in. I've rebooted numerous times, reinstalled the speaker & microphone drivers and Asio4all, and nothing helps. Zoom is shut off when I try to get input. I get output properly, just not input. Any ideas? TIA
Since latest update, midi stopped working. Roland keyboard plugged into usb connector on Windows 10 PC via a UM-1 midi interface, using a vst for sounds. Track shows up, see green bars move when keys played on "My Tracks" side. but nothing moving on the "Personal Mix" side. Tried rebooting PC & all components. Tried deleting & re-installing midi track. Sent message to JK support.
Hello.
I'm from Germany. Unfortunately, my English is not that good.
Since the Update today
My problem is this. The audio gear is set correctly and I can start sessions. But then everything stops and it says: audio device is not currently connected / audio initialization failed / input audio device stream stalled
What can i Do?
I deleated everything an instalated the App. Then it worked again for a few second...
In another App (audacity) i can record. So my Hardware is ok?
JK frame size.pdf (Size: 62.25 KB / Downloads: 9)
So, not really understanding how frame size impacts latency, I did a test - results attached. I'm thinking that the inability to "set" the buffer size and keep it when resyncing is related to Jamkazam, not the interface I am using. Can anyone out there shed any light on this? Or replicate the test with another interface?
I can't find anything on how to "unfriend" a person. A "friend" has decided that my latency is too high and I won't be admitted to his sessions. How do I eliminate him from my Friends list? I feel annoyed every time I see his name there.
Hello! Jamkazam is amazing but I'm still trying to get the best connection possible. Some advice please!
Question 1 - My 'Audio Bw Tx' is red, showing as 143k. So my audio is glitchy on the other side, to my friend. How can I improve this? It should not be my internet connection as I have cable internet with approx 30mbs upload. I am also connected via LAN cable as is my friend. Are there any settings in JamKazam that can improve this? I've tried setting the outgoing audio stream from 256k, to 320k to 512k but it had no effect.
Question 2 - the internet latency is about 8oms between my friend and me. WE are both on LAN and about 200km from each other, in Victoria, Australia. I've done a dslreports speed test and I think its because my friend has high 'buffer bloat'. We are in Australia and he is connected on a 25mbs/5mbs 'FTTN' plan which uses copper wires in the network. I am assuming the actual internet connection may be the issue there. Any idea how to fix? Could perhaps a new router with QoS somehow help?
