Hi , I  use a Mac Book Pro. ( Modell Late 2010  with OS  High Sierra)

Using the JK App:
 
I have a problem with selecting items like "Rock" und "Pop" in the GENRE Listbox.
I cannot select any item there.

I restarted the MAC but is didn't change anything.

Does anybody have the same problem ? 
Any ideas ?

Hi,

   Just testing out Jamkazam.  My audio gear checks out.... but it's not detecting any of my video gear.  When I click the pulldown menu, nothing happens.  

I've tried connecting my logitech c922 and I also have an elgato capture card connected to a mirrorless camera.  I've tried swapping the usb connections so only one is connected at a time... but it's not seeing anything.

System works just fine on Zoom meetings.... but not JamKazam.

I'm running Windows 10 Home on a very capable desktop.  When I try to run "test video" it says it's "unable to initialize video window" and to contact support... which I now have.  Suggestions?

Anybody getting better than 5.7 milliseconds local latency on windows? I'm talking about you're gear latency while you're in a  private session -   on windows.

 Not total latency that you see between jam mates. If so, what interface are you using and how are the parameters set?    5.7 is what JK shows for my interface, which will not operate at anything other than 44,100 khz     Roland HS-5 Session Mixer

Hello everyone. Yesterday afternoon I opened a private session and invited a friend . After a couple of hours we regularly left the session with "leave" command. The day after it is still present in "FOR ME " sessions. My friend also still see it in "FOR ME " sessions . I tried to rejoin and leave more times  and same thing did my friend but the session doesn't disappear . I can join again that session and I see me "in Black" perfectly working and also my friend and me "in Gray " not working. While that session  is stil present I can join other sessions and play without problems . I can also open a new private session without problems. How can I definitely cancel that "ghost session" ? Thanks.

If you're sending plenty of signal level to the session (level meter is regularly hitting the first red bar), but others in the session still need more volume from you even after pu$ng you all the way up in the personal mix... what's left?

Hi there,

I have never managed to solve a long-running problem where every few minutes, Jamkazam has a few seconds of "wobble" where my sound gets jumbled up like a "storm of static". It's worse if I set my sound setup's buffer below 2ms but it still happens at buffers up to 5ms.

I use a MacBook Pro (i7, 2018) with Existential Audio's Blackhole to feed sound in from GarageBand or MainStage, then default output to headphones via the built in sound card.

I've had a go at using my yeti mic's "output channel" as the output, which doesn't appear to suffer the same problem (but has a separate issue that the direct vocal feedback makes it hard to hear what's going on).

Any tips on stopping the Macbook's built-in sound misbehaving would be much appreciated!

  Crash on launch

Just paid for Gold member$p. Jamkazam crashes on launch after it pops up a box that says "To use video requires you to be on a supporting subscription plan. Do you want to see the subscription plans available?"  

IF you choose yes or no. It crashes. 

Yay!

Please help.

  Behringer Mixer Question

I used the search engine and drew a blank, so asking here for any insights...

I'm running my drum mics through a Behringer QX1222USB mixer, connected to an iMac via USB. I cannot for the life of me figure out where or how to kill the direct monitoring on this thing. There is no real manual for this model with the "Q" prefix, just a Quick Start Guide. The manual for the X1222USB (no Q in the prefix) says you can route the audio from a computer to the main mix "with the 2-TR/USB TO MAIN" button... which button is nowhere to be found on the QX model.

There is an interesting *Note in the Quick Start Guide: "The QX1222USB is intended primarily for live sound mixing. Although the mix can be easily recorded to a computer, low-latency monitoring during recording is not available for this model."

Have I answered my own question?


  output channel assignment error

I am using a Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 3rd gen. I'm trying to set channels 9 & 10 as my output, since that is where my headphones are plugged in. When I go to configure those channels at the output, I receive the attached error when exiting. At this point, I am now stuck. I cannot change 9 & 10 back to 1 & 2 without getting the 4 output channel error. The only thing I can do is quit and restart Jamkazam.

System info:
MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015)
MacOS Catalina 10.15.7

  Chat microphone problem

Hello

I have been using this simple little plastic microphone since I joined in April 2020. Worked perfectly.

But about one month ago, it started being garbled, total static. (about the same time as the infamous Dec upgrade ?) 

If I go into Windows 10 parameters and into audio options, I can monitor the microphone thru the speakers... the microphone still works flawlessly.
If I do a "JamChat setup" in Jamkazam Audio Settings, I can create a JamChat audio gear, and when I start a Private session, it works perfectly too !

But activiating a JamChat audio gear does not allow me to have my guitar in the session !

If I try to start a Private session, with my Guitar audio gear setup activated and no "chat microphone", then it blocks saying it did not find the chat gear.
(had to delete the JamChat gear and restart Jamkazam to have the guitar working properly again !)

My guitar is plugged in directly into the LINE entry of my computer and I use WDM as a driver.
The microphone is plug into the "FRONT MIC" entry of my computer and also use WDM.

So... am I missing something ? 
Or has the december update done something to the chat microphone setups !?!
