I'm trying to understand the diagnostics JamKazam provides so that I can equate them to the bandwidth available for our sessions.  The typical case is two players with wind instruments.  One player has 25 Mbps download and 14 Mbps upload, while the other has 90 Mbps download and 18 Mbps upload speeds.  This is far more than the 1 Mbps minimum that JamKazam published: https://forum.jamkazam.com/showthread.php?tid=114.  (Really?)  We have not analyzed the traffic from other users on these connections, but since our results have been consistent during different sessions, this doesn't appear to be the determining factor.  We are both using current Windows 10 systems and Focusrite Scarlett USB adapters.

My question is about bandwidth, not latency, but I should note that we are having challenges with delay.  We are about 100 miles apart, and one of the players is on an island.  The challenges of providing service at that remote location seems to push the total latency above 50 ms.

Our results with this configuration are generally stable, although there are some artifacts (especially on high notes) that are of concern.  When we examine the "Audio Bw Rx" status it usually says <other player> "has enough bandwidth to send you a degraded, but sufficient, audio stream."  While I haven't found documentation about this specific message, the documentation (https://jamkazam.freshdesk.com/support/s...iagnostics) says this shows the size of the audio stream and that these will be automatically adjusted.

What exact parameters is JK looking for, and what does it means by "enough bandwidth" in this situation?

I thought I would share my PC setup as I had to dig here and there to make it happen.  My goal was to be able to mix a full band in a live setting (without me playing).  I have issues using the Jamkazam audio mixer for various reasons :

• The app is a bit slow on my PC (don't know why)
  
• The sliders are not very smooth
  
• VST usage is limited and not super easy to setup
  
• Native controls like compressors are not easy to use

My Presonus 1810c 's loopback Was operational until recently...  I was using it to practice with myself and others on JK. It now blocks the function of Youtube to be played through JK.  Youtube sits with a rotating ring until JK app is closed.  And when Youtube is open with JK open, Youtube causes disturbance in JK.  JK is set for Outputs on 3+4 , loopback on the 1810c is set to 1+2 (to prevent a horrible loopback to happen) !! Again this setup was operational (with a lot of help from my Friends on JK! Thank You John and Terry!)   Any Thoughts would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks!

However, for the "Free" option, the "fast internet connectivity" is shown both as "yes" and "no". What is correct?

Ever since I started paying for Jamkazam I have not been able to record my session. I have reached out numerous times but nobody seems to be able to help solve my issue. Any thoughts or ideas? I used File Manager to delete some of the old recordings but that did nothing either.

To help members of our little music community get started with JK, I put together the attached PDF document. It's got introductory info about computer audio in general along with step-by-step instructions for selecting and setting up audio gear in JK. Hopefully it'll help someone out there to get going. 

Disclaimer: The document uses screenshots and procedures from a JK version of late 2020, and those could of course change, as can just about anything about the program. So, use it not as gospel, but as a general guide, as things evolve over time.

Long time JamKazam user trying to Live Stream to YouTube without much success.  Audio is very weak and constantly disconnects.  Consulted support and
watched the video many times but just can't get it to work as advertised.

Not sure what we could be missing.  Has anyone been able to make this work?

I can't seem to get good latency with  Jamkazam and my Steinberg UR22c interface. I'm getting sample rate conflicts. Is the Steinberg compatible with Jamkzam?

I am totally confused what the Personal Mix vs Stream Mix gain adjustments do. Whatever we do there seems to influence what others hear (and presumably what is being recorded). Is there any way to adjust the personal mix levels between the local and remote tracks, without influencing what others hear and what is being recorded?
