Perfect settings for Mac Airport Extreme?
Posted by: FranzKline - 04-24-2020, 07:34 AM - Forum: Help with Mac Client Problems - Replies (1)

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone out there has a optimal settings suggestion for a Mac Airport Extreme? I'm really getting disgruntled with the bad network dialog prompts, drop outs and only seeing/ hearing 2 or 3 people in a session consisting of more than 6 sometimes.

Yes I'm hardwired to the Airport Extreme, and have tried several different settings to no avail.  I'm no IT specialist but wouldn't the best networks settings for JamKzm be common on all Mac products regardless of router?

Thanks
P.

Could not initialize PortAudio library: Internal PortAudio error
Posted by: douglasfindley@gmail.com - 04-24-2020, 06:57 AM - Forum: Help with Windows Client Problems - Replies (6)

I just installed JK for the first time and am getting this error.  I'm on updated win10 pro, using RME Digiface ASIO into RME PCI card (feeding it over lightpipe from Presonus Digimax and Focusrite Octopre).   And FYI Jamulus sees the RME ASIO drivers fine, as does everything else on my computer including my DAW.

The full text of the error is "An audio driver is preventing JamKazam from processing audio.  Please move any USB-connected audio gear to a different USB port, or reinstall any drivers for your audio gear.  When done, restart the JamKazam application.
(Could not initialize PortAudio library: Internal PortAudio error)"

I don't have any USB connected audio gear, BTW. Oh, maybe except for a bluetooth USB stick.  Ok, removing that didn't help. (But I do believe there are upgraded drivers available.)  Then I hit OK and the whole app closes (but each attempt leaves a ghost icon in my toolbar until I hover over it).

Other than assuring the most recent asio RME Digiface drivers do you have any suggestions?  I'm not sure what PortAudio library is that is failing to initialize.
-Thanks

  JamKazam keeps cra$ng
Posted by: alamakluke - 04-24-2020, 12:49 AM - Forum: Help with Windows Client Problems - Replies (2)

Hi there,

I have my Behringer UMC404HD installed and ready to go but when I start Jamkazam and then start a session the app keeps cra$ng, I looked at the EV log and this is the error that I am seeing.

Faulting application name: JamKazam.exe, version: 1.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x5e8feda0
Faulting module name: JamKazam.exe, version: 1.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x5e8feda0
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x003bd36a
Faulting process ID: 0x1478
Faulting application start time: 0x01d619d0835c19a1
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\JamKazam\JamKazam.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Program Files (x86)\JamKazam\JamKazam.exe

I have unnistall the app and re-install the app and same issue. I am trying to run the app on a 2 year old laptop that i pretty good. Everything seems to be up to date with Windows 10 and the drivers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
Luc

  Electronic Drums Questions
Posted by: LadnerDrummer - 04-23-2020, 10:47 PM - Forum: Help with Live Jamming Sessions - Replies (6)

I am using an Alesis Crimson Drum Kit, an M-Audio Fast track and running it all through a MacBook. I am wondering how to bypass my Macbook's external mic so I can hear drum sounds from module and not clacking of hitting the rubber and plastic. Seems drum shops and jamkazam folks can't help me. Anyone out there able to tell me cables to connect where? Thank You!

Preliminary list of errors, malfunctioning + future?

2. Partly failing recordings links
3. Test network broken, partly at least???
4. Discarding a recording dont work properly
5. Avatar image upload broken
6.

then

B:

"The JamKazam team has been expanding functionality due to the recent demand, planning a feature for remote bands to live-stream their performance to a webpage and sell tickets via online retailers."

Then there is some other plans - if I remember right. More to come.

[Hm! When or if this list is complete, then it is impossible to change the headline. I will let it be]

Live jamming music client has stopped working
Posted by: ddelsignore - 04-23-2020, 07:10 PM - Forum: Help with Windows Client Problems - Replies (3)

Every time I try to enter or start a session, a window pops up that says "Live jamming music client has stopped working" and the app needs to shut down. I wasn't having this problem a few weeks ago, but now it happens all the time. Does anyone know what might be the problem? Thanks.

  Preview/Recording/Mixing Issues
Posted by: Jlar - 04-23-2020, 05:20 PM - Forum: Help with JamTracks - Replies (11)

Hi all...just signed up to this yesterday and starting to play. Tried recording my vocal along with Jam Track backing. After recording, when I hit PREVIEW, I only hear the Jam Track...not my vocal. But when I listen to the temporary WAV file it puts on my system, the vocal is there (although a few pops in the recording).

Also...for recording attempts 1 and 2, when I check the status of the mix, the MIXING portion has been going on for 4 hours. It fails and then tries again. STREAM MIX and TRACK all indicated in Green. Just never succeeds in completing the mix.

My third attempt indicate STREAM MIX MISSING (Red), one TRACK indicates Green, and the other indicates PENDING UPLOAD (Yellow)...for the last 20 minutes. Any help guidance would be appreciated.

Photo Issue with Audio Interface at JamKazam Launch
Posted by: geobrick - 04-23-2020, 07:30 AM - Forum: Help with Audio Gear - Replies (2)

Came across JamKazam while doing a google search for a live music collaboration tool so thanks for existing.

I signed up, downloaded and installed the the app. At app launch, JamKazam was alternately "not responding" or presenting me with the following error:

I have a TC StudioKonnect48 audio interface (over firewire) with their latest TC Near driver. I'm not sure why I'm getting a USB related error. I have a USB 2x2 midi port so tried jamkazam again without the midi port plugged in and still got the same error.

Does JamKazam support my audio interface? Is there something I should change in the settings?

(I'm using Windows 10 x 64 with an i7 processor and 32GB of RAM. The machine and interface work well with other Audio software.)
