Ever since the last Jamkazam update, 2nd Gen Focusrite can't get a latency under 85, so it won't connect. Before upgrade I was getting 11 & 12 for latency. What can I do?

Problem with tracks recorded during sessions |

Sometimes the recordings of our sessions work very well indeed. Other times, though, there are tracks that repeatedly fail to upload to the server. Looking at the logs in the file manager, the errors are shown as "Network-error" or "AWS-upload-failed". Sometimes, after repeated attempts by the file manager, the tracks do eventually upload: other times they never seem to get uploaded.
Does anyone know why these errors occur and whether there is anything the user can do to mitigate the problem, please? Anyone else experienced this?
Thanks
Steve

JamKazam not detecting my audio |

Hi,
I logged into JamKazam for the first time since August 6th. (I usually log in 3-4 times a week)
I am using a Mac running OSX Catalina version 10.15.5 and use a Behringer UMC202HD
I got prompted to load an update.
I got into my session. I was able to see my partners video and hear his audio. He could see me but not hear me. The VU meters under My Live Tracks not moving. I was able to hear my guitar and voice through the headphones plugged into the Berhinger.
I reset the audio config and re-added my device. same issue as above.
As a test I opened grageband on my Mac, I was able to record audio and guitar through the Berhinger. I also tried another app - Youcisian - it also works fine.)
I tried unplugging the audio interface, relaunching Jam Kazam and even rebooting.
same issue, I can join a session, I can see my partners video, I can hear his audio, he can see me but m audio meters not moving.
I also tried the auto device configuration feature for the UMC202 - got this message:
JamKazam client did not detect your Behringer UMC202 Audio adapter.
Please plug the device in to your computer.
Click YES to try again.
not sure why, as the device shows up in the settings and I'm my Macs control panel (and GarageBand and Yousician apps both work with the Behringer)
Was there an issue with the last update?
thanks
David

Intermittent digital distortion |

Hello all. My band has been using Jamkazam since shortly before Covid Lockdowns occurred. We have been working relatively trouble free, with the exception of occasional dropouts. We had been in a 4 piece configuration, but after we added a 5th player randomly and often our audio stream breaks up into packet loss digital distortion. We all have high speed connections. I am on Fiber Optic at 100-300MB. 2 of us are on PC, 3 on Mac. My PC uses MOTU (samples per buffer at 64) and my latency is extremely low 3.9ms. When we were working as a quartet, and things were going well, I rarely saw my Internet jitter above yellow. Now when the distortion hits, all of us go into red. Only resync will clear it, but often only for a few seconds. It's very frustrating. I am separated from the other 4 members by approximately 90 miles, while they are relatively close together. While occasional latencies were a problem, the jitter issue only started when we added a 5th player. The 5th player is on an iMac with a M Box Pro. I did some testing one on one with him after our session yesterday and all seemed perfect. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Steve

When i set up new audio device and do sync, buffer size sets to *240*.
If, before set up new device in jamkazam i started Cubase with same Sample Rate, buffer size keep my value.
When i start new session without cubase, buffer size sets to *240*.
If, before start new session in jamkazam i started Cubase with same Sample Rate, buffer size keep my value.

Why can't I select a MIDI interface? |

Hi, I have had no luck at all assigning a MIDI interface, on multiple systems. Is there some setting I am missing somewhere? I am trying to connect an AKAI MPK Mini MK2, but the pull-down menu is grayed out. Ive tried this in multiple scenarios, plugged directly to USB, and also through the usb host port on my connect audio 4+ interface, which Jamkazam recognizes. Im trying to control a synth on a computer I am remote-logging into from home. Thanks in advance!

Too much me in the mix |

I am using a Zoom UAC8 interface, which does not have a direct monitoring switch. I am having trouble lowering my instrument and vocals for my personal JK mix while leaving enough of both for other jammers to interact.
When I adjust individually using JK channel mute (respectively, electric guitar and vocal), and much to my surprise and displeasure, such muting does not take the referenced input out of my headphone mix, but does impact by dramatically reducing what others hear (even though, according to JK instructions, it's not supposed to affect anything but my personal JK mix; likewise with the JK slider. I conclude that my interface simultaneously feeds my input and output output to my headphone mix, and what I seek is a way around that.
The UAC8 allows me to set gain, and has individual sliders for each input. On the AOC8, if I mute a channel, or reduce its volume by use of the interface slider conctrol that input is removed entirely from (if muted) or adjusted proportionally from the output mix in relation to using the slider. With the UAC8, I can also loop back, but that function doesn't seem to apply to real time external input, but rather to streamed or file sources (like programmed drums or downloaded sound files) which I use, for example, for recording.
I believe my interface sends my input automatically to my headphones. Can someone suggest a work around so I can bypass my input so it doesn't come through my headphones, but still is preserved and remains as set in the output sent to JK?
Got it. You can select specific outputs on the UAC8, thereby removing the input channels from the output mix. On the software for the interface, UAC 8 Mix Effects you can choose by pairs of channels, line out only, which appears to allow the faders to impact the headphone mix, but not the line out presence. Specifically, by choosing line out1/2 rather than main out, that's what goes to the headphones.

exporting individual tracks? |

Hey y'all
I'm a newbie here, so thanks in advance.
Is it possible to export the individual instrument tracks you hear in a JamTrack session and if so, what kind of file would it be?
For example, I bought "Hold On" by the Alabama Shakes and would like to listen to the bass part on my iPhone when I exercise to help memorize it. Can that happen?
