Audio dropouts |

So I'm running into a problem that looks suspiciously similar to the problems reported in this thread over on the Mac client problems forum.
I have a Focusrite 2i2 3rd gen (brand new!) connected to a Win10 PC. I just did a couple of test sessions with another band member. We ran into a bunch of problems that boil down to "JK audio drops out every minute or so". It did materialize in various ways though:
1. During setup, I ran into a bunch of issues. Mainly, in the audio gear config dialog, my input track(s) would just magically disappear... as in: I open the audio gear config, then I don't touch anything for 30 seconds (I just stare at it), and my one audio track (Input 1 on the Focusrite) just disappears. At this point, JK is very unhappy... I can't hit "Cancel" (it shows an error message), I can't re-add the input track (it shows more error messages), etc... I need to restart JK, although sometimes JK re-connects successfully to the Focusrite and everything is good again.
2. During the sessions, my audio track in JK would go gray for a second, and then the latency indicator would go red. At this point, I can't hear anything anymore, and my band mate can't hear me. I have to hit "Resync" and it works again. This would happen every 30 seconds or so, sometimes more often, sometimes less.
3. After a reboot, it started showing a bit differently... everything would look fine on my end (I can hear both my band mate and myself, the loudness meters are moving, etc.), but my band mate would report that he heard a loud pop, and then can't hear me anymore. I can still hear him and play with him, but he doesn't hear me. Again, hitting "Resync" solves the problem. Happens roughly as frequently as problem 2.
Thanks for any help!

No Audio Behringer U-PHORIA UM2 |

I have a friend who has a problem with a Behringer U-PHORIA UM2 he just bought. He's on a new HP laptop 8GB, AMD processor. "No audio," grayed out comes up for my name on his screen. I can't hear him and vice versa. We've downloaded the drivers from Behringer - both Behringer's and ASIO (we watched the videos.). We disabled the integrated speakers and mic. In config, the ASIO selection issues the error message right away but the CODEC selection sometimes passes the test. Using that selection we establish a session but I am grayed out to him but he's not grayed out to me but on that "green-green-green-red-red" horizontal line of dashes on him he is in the red (on my screen.) In the session we can't hear each other of course and occasionally the "white background" window comes up with that error, the one where they want you to send JK the error in an email. We both hit resync often to no avail. Reboot occasionally. My config is a PS Studio 68c with a Dell XPS/Core I7/16GB and I often have had successful sessions with other players. Before he attached the UM2 we were able to have sessions but the latency was bad. When he sang and I played guitar he would get behind - out-of-sync to the point that it was just futile. We thought an audio interface for him would solve the problem but we've seemed to have gone backwards. Is this a router issue? Why would it work before he attached the UM2, i.e., without an external audio interface? After searching on "no audio" etc. and looking through many forum entries I haven't found the solution. I did discover a log that JamKazam keeps on my machine at C:\Users\Doug called JamKazam_i.log. Lots in there but I noticed, under the "session log data" section, an entry that says "SessionAlert- type:38 msg: (my friend's name) is receiving no audio from you." If I inspected the log on his machine would there be any hint of what the problem might be? We'd appreciate any help.

Everyone's Latency is Unknown |

Prior to the latest update of the Windows 10 client I used to get latency ratings for other musicians.
Unfortunately everyone is now showing as "Unknown", even friends I have just been in a session with. It's as if my internet latency can no longer be calculated.
This makes it difficult to find suitable sessions to join.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks

Jamkazam not recognizing network connection |

I have tried numerous times to connect to others on JK, and it will not recognize my network connection. Everything works fine for solo session and recording it. During a band session, I see bandmates and they me, but get no audio transfer from or to me when in a session. When i check a friend online, their latency shows unknown.
Windows 10, Fios gateway router, UDP 12000-12010 showing open (and I have configured JK to always start there, I have no firewall active, verified public ip with Verizon.
The only active network connection on my computer is ethernet, and the test still cannot recognize it as wired, and despite no active wifi adapter, asks me to check anyway via wifi and then craps out and sends me to a broken support link.
I have rebooted and completely reset my router, tested for the UDP ports to be open and they are. I have tried plugging the network cable into a different port on router, I have completely wiped my computer and freshly installed windows again, and still no dice. What else could be messing with JamKazam from finding my computer?
Help! It has now been over 40 hours trying to fix this - my entire band can get on but me. Log file attached.
Thanks,
Pat

Loading on Alternate Drive |

I have been trying to load JamKazam on my Windows 10 computer with a high capacity external hard drive. I do not have the space on the internal drive and want to load the app on the external drive. When I get to the window that tells me to select an alternate drive, I cannot change the target drive.
Has anyone had this problem or perhaps able to tell me what I am doing wrong?
Many Thanks

Although My Zoom H6 is listed as an approved interface, and although it works fine with Audacity, it will not work with JamKazam.
JK finds the device but then says it cannot connect to it.
thank you

I figure I’d write this here as with much troubleshooting my issue with my Mac was within my WiFi which has always been off but appears to still be producing an IP address causing major issues with Jamkazam. This appears to have started last Saturday night before the update some Mac users are blaming. There have been some on Mac who have not experienced an issue but unfortunately I as many have. Dimitri was a great help to work with me to determine that in Terminal we were able to see two IP addresses opening when Jamkazam started. One via Ethernet and one WiFi. Even though WiFi was off it was still generating an IP. Here is my fix and I suggest others try it to see if signing back on with their Mac might attain a good outcome. Give it a try.....
Go into system preferences, network, select WiFi and then the minus sign. (You can add back if ever needed) I never use WiFi on my Mac as it’s hooked up via Ethernet but the WiFi present was giving me dual IP addresses in my terminal. This got rid of the dual IP in terminal and now I’m not getting packet errors since last night.
