I have a brand new ACER laptop with a 10th generation intel i5 processor.
When I use the system's mic and speaker, I have a fairly high latency of 20ms, but my I/O rate and I/O variance are good.
If I use a USB microphone, I can get the latency back to around 11 ms, but my I/O rate falls to 0 (the I/O variance still is good).
Doing the same tests on my daughters laptop (ACER, AMD Ryzen 5) the USB mic also has a latency of about 11ms but the I/O rate is good.
This means the problem is in my laptop. However, since I cannot find anywhere what factors comprise the I/O rate, I don't know what actions to take, or what configuration possibilities to look for on my laptop.
Can someone please help me oud with this I/O Rate question?
Hi there,
When I'recording my guitar volume seems to be well mixed with jamtrack, but when I listen to video file my guitar volume is not the same (too low respect jamtrack). Is there any way to set correct mix for final video recorded file ? Tks
Maybe its a stupid question für you, but I am new in JK and fiddling a while to get a proper result.
For testing I ordered a relatively cheap interface "Miditech AudioLink Light" which has 2 Channels: 1 Mic, 1 Instrument.
It comes with its own ASIO driver.
Basically it works so far:
Under the "Select & Test Audio Gear" menu all seems ok.
I hear my voice on the left and my Guitar on the right channel on the headphones (direct monitoring is off!).
Latency is 7.85ms which should work (See screenshot below)
When I start a Solo session with this config I only hear the Mic-Channel on both headphone sides, guitar is not hearable.
I would really appreciate if you could help
Cheers from Cologne, Germany

I've just tried for the past hour to get JamKazam working with 2 bandmates. They are working fine, one on Comcast, one on Verizon Fios. I am on Fios but have a pfSense router. I have tried with port forwarding enabled and without but I keep getting failures. JamKazam says "The reported network configuration is: 'Independent Mapping, Independent Filter, random port, no hairpin'.
I know the IP address of my friend and I started a packet trace on my WAN interface. I see a few packets coming in, but the ports are all ove rthe place. Mine going out are on port 12000 as expected but those coming in are not.
Our chatting working just fine, I can connect to them and get into a room, I just get no audio. They hear me just fine.
Any ideas? Since another band member is on Verizon Fios like I am, I am assuming the problem is local, not with Verizon. I'm not sure what else to try though. Even if my port forwarding rules are correct, the ports are all over the place.
Any help would be appreciated, the tools in JamKazam itself are basically non-existent.
I have been using my RME Fireface 800 successfully with JK and ASIO drivers for a few weeks. Now all I see under Audio setup is WDM. My driver properties in device manager says it is only ASIO and does not list any WDM. Any idea what has changed or what I can do?
I have a strange behaviour with Jamkazam, when I am in a session maximum 2-3 persons can hear me, the others have up to 100% packet loss from me and cannot hear me well or at all.
I can hear everybody just fine. I tried the resync button, but it is not helping, also tried to remove WIFI from my mac (Network-> Minus sign over WIFI), no good result.
I also tried to use another windows PC and same problem. I tried several Audio Booster config without success.
UPNP is activated on V4 network section of my router. I can redirect port with my router but for now it is not used.
JK doesn't recognize my I/O interface. I have the Scarlett 2i4 second generation 2 port interface, which is working. When I go to JK audio set up, only the default appears. The rescan for external devices returns zero results
