Jamblaster as a usb audio interface? |

You are meant to be able to use jamblaster as a ordinary audio interface by plugging it into a usb port. In the absence of being able to pair it with the client I am wondering if the latency figures as a usb interface would be good since it is designed with low latency in mind.
However when I plug it in to a usb port nothing happens - it seems it's not being recognised as an audio interface.
Has anyone been able to get it to work as a usb interface?

WDM is yellow, have Behringer 204HD with their AISO driver installed. When hovering over the WDM icon, the message is "You are using a problematic driver type for your gear" Any suggestions? Everything seems to work ok when on a session. Thanks.

Recording Problems and Weirdness |

I'm pretty new to on-line music and JamKazam, so this all might be obvious and over-discussed somewhere. So far, my experience with recording has been very confusing. One, I've learned that recording in JamKazam is the epitome of "hit or miss." In a typical recording session, there is a lot of redundancy and backup work. When I've tried to save a "take" in a JK session, that makes starting another recording impossible and often blows up one or more of the players' JK sessions losing their data. That means JK assumes we want to leave record on for the length of the session, trusting that no one will have a problem that might lose their data. So far, that has been a poor assumption. Of a dozen attempts to make a recording of 4 players working on an original tune, we've only managed one good take and that was an early attempt that I wouldn't want to keep.
Two, cleaning up the JK "File Manager" is a frustrating experience. When JK mangles storing a recording, the File Manager appears to be unable to delete a recording that has "Missing" data, including when that missing data is on my own machine for whatever reason. I have several 2-3 week old recordings with "0M" or "NaNM" of data stored that can't be deleted. Or at least, won't stay deleted. I delete them and they come right back to File Manager. Some have "missing data," some "discarded," and some forever "pending upload." Seems like a waste of data storage to me.
Postscript 6/11/2020
I seem to have accidentally discovered another weird "feature" of JK's recording operation. Yesterday, after an hour session that I tried to record all of, the other musicians managed to exit the session (not JK) before I hit "Stop Recording." When I tried to stop the recording, I got an error message: "You are not recording" or something like that. The program still asked for the usual information about the recording, but the only data JK downloaded was mine. I lost the other 3 musicians' performances. So, there must be some sort of undocumented secret sequences of events required to obtain consistent recording data.

How can I retain or save plugin settings? |

I am looking for a way to retain/safe VST plugin settings between sessions. Does someone know how this can be done?
(My understanding was, that while being in the "audio gear" setup page -> "Update track"-window and defining there the VST settings these would be stored as a basic setting for the sessions. But the settings of the plugin are not being stored. Everytime I join a session they are back to default and have to be re-set. This behaviour of the software makes the VST settings-option in the "audio gear" section kind of obsolete. But maybe it's me and I just don't know how to do it...)

Program Will Not Launch on a Windows 10 PC. Please help! |

I realize this question has been asked already and unfortunately, I do not see where a solution was found for this seemingly major issue.
I installed the Mac version of the program and it launched without issue. I can't use the Mac for Jamkazam because of a USB interface issue, but that isn't the problem at hand.
I have disabled my anti-virus, uninstalled and reinstalled, etc. but still get just a briefly fla$ng spinning circle next to my cursor and then...nothing.
In my many years of using a Windows PC, this is one of the few times I have ever had a program simply not launch. It may even be the only time.
I have read in some other threads where people have installed previous versions of the client with some success, so I am hoping that is an option here unless someone can guide me to a way to get up and running on my PC.
Any advice is welcome!
Thanks.

Latency Issue when running session, not when joining session |

Hi everyone!
I’ve tried twice to run a jam with my band on JamKazam, and we are running into major latency issues.
The first session’s reasons for failure were pretty common - guitar player using wi-fi, drummer Ethernet cable to DSL. Both using Focusrite Scarlett 2 whatever the model is.
Second session, today drummer was using SO’s internet, Ethernet to cable modem. Guitarist was doing the same. I have the same set up in terms of internet, and I am using a Focusrite Clarett 8PreX.
As far as I can tell, we have set up our audio gear correctly, with the possible exception of direct monitoring. The drummer still experiences the same latency issues, and the guitar player also has slight latency issues.
Interestingly enough, I have joined two sessions so far with no latency issues whatsoever.
So, what am Inor my cohorts doing wrong? Am I missing something when I do the set up?
Thanks,
Kevoargh

Do VSTs work with Windows 7? |

I have installed the amp/cab simulator Voxengo Boogex (pretty good for free) on 2 Windows 10 machines successfully.
I installed it correctly on my Windows 7 64-bit machine in my studio. It shows up, I can select it and it JK brings up its user interface when I click the Audio Effects Setting button. But there is no signal on the VST's input meters. My guitar does play on JK but there's no effect from the VST.
My guess it's either Windows 7 or my my Presonus Firestudio interface.
Is anyone using Windows 7 with VSTs successfully?
