error message to configure router to send and recieve audio. Is there a published procedure for this?

Hi All, any help I can get with this would be appreciated. My ap doesn’t completely load anymore. The colored boxes are there but there are only blocks and no text to click on...I’m running the latest apple OS on a 2014 iMac. Was working great then all of a sudden...this.someone mentioned it could have something to do with a .plst file....thanks

I have a Solid State Logic 2+ and the driver is installed on my Dell laptop, using Windows 10. However, when I try to select the audio device, only 'Built In' shows up, not my SSL2+ driver. Any suggestions?

I am NOT a technically minded person so please bear with me.  I tried to connect with my piano player remotely and we could not figure out why everything else seemed to work except for my audio output.  It appeared that everything was working with my audio and yet my guy couldn't hear me.  I am on an iMac and going straight into the computer for now.  please advise.

I read this on the forum:

When launching JamKazam for the first time you may encounter an alert option to allow JamKazam to access the microphone. Click Yes!.

If you clicked Later, you may not see the alert again and will need to enable the option in Security & Privacy setting:

System Preferences>Security & Privacy; Privacy Tab.  For the Microphone, make sure JamKazam is checked.

You will be prompted to quit and restart JamKazam for the change to take effect.  You may need to repeat this step to begin hearing Audio in the session.


When I went to my System Preferences>Security & Privacy; Privacy Tab. "mIcrophone" and "JamKazam" were not options. See attachment.

Hello. One of the microphone/audio interfaces I would like to recommend to students and teachers is the AKG Lyra. 
      You can connect it via USB-C (though it comes with a USB-C to "regular" USB cable. You plug your headset into the bottom of the mic. There is a headset control, a gain control, a mute button. Another feature that I like is that the mic has 4 capsules with a dial that allows you to have 4 different settings; Front, front and back, tight stereo (front) wide stereo (front and back). You can use it right out of the box. Lastly, it just looks cool and I know the students and teachers will love it.
       My challenge is that although you can plug it into the Mac and it works right out of the box, the same is not true for Windows. Has anyone had any success getting a AKG Lyra to work with JamKazam on a windows machine?

I'm new to jamkazam and just connecting today.  My interface is a Roland Duo-Capture.  Jamkazam does not recognize it in the audio settings.  Is it the interface or am I missing something in Jamkazam.

JK has had an amazing impact on my musician$p.  As a trumpeter it is so valuable to play at least 1 hour a day (for life!) and on JK I am averaging about 4 hours a day.  I have improved beyond anything I have ever imagined.  I have also connected with all sorts of great people and find everyone very helpful and engaged in creating a great musical experience.  I'd love to know how many users there are as I am always telling fellow musicians about this platform.

have been waiting for the help article "configuring router" at https://forum.jamkazam.com/showthread.php?tid=118 for a while.  Does anyone have specifics for what settings should be on the router so i can call my ISP?  McBook Pro 10.14.6 Have had JK working just barely enough to keep pursuing it - hoping network settings will be a breakthrough for us.  thanks michael

I've connected my Akai MPK Mini II midi controller and installed a VST instrument plugin (PIANO VINTAGE 1984 v1.00). When I try to add a midi track, JK lets me select both the controller and the VST instrument, but having pressed save settings the midi track does not appear. Any idea why? 

Hello again. I am working with a teacher who has set up JamKazam on a Mac Desktop (not sure model yet.) The problem I have had so far is that when we share video, all I get from him is a white screen. I think he is seeing a black screen (though it may be white.) I tried closing and open sessions, closing and opening and the JamKazam application, but still get the same result of a white screen from him and a black screen from me. We both can see our cameras locally.
       When I see the teacher again shortly, I plan to have him click on his name, click on video settings and see the right camera is selected and he can see an image when he runs a test and if he doesn't, test for all resolutions.
       The other thing I was planning to check is to go into preferences/security/video and make sure JamKazam is checked as one of the permitted apps (or words to that effect- I am on a Dos box right now.)
        Are there any other suggestions other then trying a different webcam?
