Assuming good gear and decent internet bandwidth ( 35 down, 5 up or better), would you expect expanding a jam from 4 to 5 members to tip us over the edge in terms of latency?
We're all within 70 miles of each other in the greater Seattle area.
Hi there, new to the platform and trying to get my band set up. My bandmates have a Scarlett 2i2. I am able to get them in a session but instead of seeing 2 inputs from their Scarlett, I only see one Voice input. However, I can hear their voice and guitar. I obviously cannot mix their voice and guitar within that single input, which would be nice.
Is this normal? Is this a limitation of the platform or am I missing something?
I can't find any information on this subject on the internet.
Hey gang, I'm using a Scarlett Solo third generation with my upright bass. Trying to use the internal mic in my Mac laptop to talk to the other musicians is not working well. I'm going to get a mic.....keep in mind, NOT for singing.....just to talk with the other jammers. How does this work? Do you leave the bass plugged in to the Solo instrument port AND have a mic plugged in also? At the same time? Or do you use the mic to talk AND capture the bass and not have the bass plugged into the inst. port? Doesn't the bass being plugged in have better fidelity and better latency? What about leaving the bass plugged in and having a mic that you can switch on and off when you want to talk?
Anyone in a similar situation? Your thoughts?

we first tried JamKazam last week (version JamKazam-1.0.3903.msi).
Everything worked fine, I could invite friends, create a session and we had a pretty good sound experience, except that I myself had audio drops/outages. But as I have been in WiFi known to be shaky, I installed a LAN cable afterwards.
This week we wanted to jam again, but even before the Software update to 1.0.3912 I had many problems:
after starting the app it takes a couple of minutes (!) until every bit of the UI elements are loaded. List of my friends and notificationes are loaded last.
if I switch to "Create Session" and I press on any of these buttons:
QUICK START PRIVATE
QUICK START PUBLIC
QUICK START FRIENDS
nothing at all happens.
Only pressing on Schedule Future has some effect, but if I come to the page, where I could select friends, they are not shown in the dialog.
So in short: I cannot create any session anymore!
if a friend of mine creates a session and sends me an invitation, it takes minutes, until the popup is show
if I "join" the session, I am taken to the session page - but there nothing happens - I neither see my jamming friends, nor do I see my controls
I already tried completely uninstalling and re-installing JamKazam - any of the both versions, but nothing helps.
I also tried to remove antivirus tools, lowered my Windows firewall and removed browser plugins => no success.
Can the reason be in the servers ?
What can I do ?
Audio.ini configuration update failed (not writable) twice Video.ini configuration update failed (not writable) Client.ini configuration update failed (not writable) i am admin user, i uninstalled with appcleaner several times and installed but the error is always the same.
After these error messages it hangs on the screen and no longer responds.
The app is all write permissions and full disk access,
I have read about various problems with Catalina MACOS but I have not found any guide to solve them,
I have tried to search for the facebook plug in files but I have not found any files to eliminate, can someone help you out?

The edrum is connected via USB to my Computer. The interface Steinberg MK2 also via USB connected to my PC (Wondows 10).
The edrum goes through ableton where all drivers (ASIO) corretly installed. So i can play with individual drum sounds with ca. 3,xx ms latency.
Now i want to connect to Jamkazam. I choose my Steinberg interface in Audio gear settings, but not with ASIO drivers. I thing this is blocked through ableton. So i can only choose the interface with WDM drivers. I pass all settings and hear finaly the sound that all settings are correctly over my headphones.
Now in a privat or public session there is now sound from my drums through jamkazam. But i can hear the drums on my headphones over ableton.
When i quit ableton and choose in Audio gear settings the steinberg ASIO drivers (just now there are available) i hear nothing. Because i need ableton for my individual drum sounds.
An error shows me that there is no signal in the line in at the interface. But i cant stick something from my edrum (MIDI) to the interface (XLR) - this wont work, because MIDI isnt sound - this are just electric infos.
Can someone please help?
Im from germany so please show some mercy if a sentence here is a bit confused
a symbol, next to play/preview audio, whether the open session is broadcasting or private is turned on ?? I get the message private may be turned on ?? will make it easier to scroll thru the Feed open sessions and preview the players before previewing or joining in that music genre.....
the pop up messages disappear off the screen tooooo... fast on all screens .. before i can click OK ...etc to join or even to read what the message is most of the time.... and scroll the mouse there to click it ! its gone??
Hello. We have a student who tries to open JamKazam and every time she does, all she gets is a message that says "reattempting to loadwww.jamkazam.com..." I have tried reinstalling the latest stand-alone version from JamKazam. Has anyone had this problem and been able to resolve this issue? I would really like to help this student if I can. Thank you for any assistance.
Im having some trouble with audio, and when I go to "auto device configuration" it lists the wrong devices. It does not list my Scarlett Solo.
