hi i just logged into jamkazam and it told me there was an update. Normally it just updates right there but this time it made me download a whole new install. I did it but don't see anything different. Does anyone know if this update has anything special that we should know about? I don't even know where to find version numbers. Does anyone know of any changelogs or anything at all lol?
it looks like it's version 1.0.3703

Clarette 8pre and mac. Not getting any sound |

Ok, so. My set up is this. Electronic drums with 1/4" going into inputs 1 & 2 on the interface (Clarette 8pre, thunderbolt. I believe 1st gen). Thunderbolt cord into the mac. Headphones connected to the interface. I have direct monitoring turned off. I'm stuck on step 5 of the set up in the Jamkazam app. And of course, the links for the detailed instructions go nowhere. I've turned off my firewall, allowed Jamkazam to access the microphone. The interface does recognize when I hit the drum, but I don't hear anything. I don't know what else I can do. I'm a drummer, so I'm not at all an audiophile. If anyone has any advice, I sorely need it. Thank you.

Using Digitech RP360XP as audio interface |

I'm a relative newbie to all of this and as such, don't own an audio interface box...…...yet. With the current Covid-19 situation it has become apparent that me and my bandmates will not be getting together in person anytime soon. So, we've starting dabbling with playing/jamming online from our remote locations. Seems Jamkazam is quite popular, free, and fairly intuitive to setup and use (well...…….maybe!). I'm a guitarist and I remembered I still had my Digitech RP360XP multi-effects unit and decided to give that a try since it has built-in USB recording capability. After many attempts at getting Jamkazam to recognize the thing I finally got it working. Is there anyone else out there that has tried using this with Jamkazam? So far the biggest issue seems to be the usual latency problem although frankly, my bandmates don't seem to notice much, if any, latency. Sound-quality is quite good. The main problems are that I seem to have to go through Audio Setup again every time I start the Jamkazam app and get the RP360 re-added/tested successfully. BTW - the trick I've found is to make sure the RP360XP has a cable connected to at least one of the output jacks and a cable connected to the input jack but leave your guitar unplugged until setup and test has completed successfully. The other problem is that if I go through Manage>Audio Settings>Audio Console I only have the Mixer tab and related settings. I do not get the other tabs across the top with the myriad of adjustable settings. I'm guessing this is because the RP360XP does not utilize an ASIO driver?? Any insights anyone has into using and optimizing settings for the RP360XP and maybe other multi-effects units with USB recording capability would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Problems with poor performance, is it mu USB audio interface or internet connection |

I am having little success using Jamkazam. My internet speeds are 100mps download and about 12 upload. My USB audio interface is a Roland Duo-Capture EX, which comes with its own ASIO usb drivers. The best results I can achieve is:
And a lot of the time the input and output jitter goes red. When I try a record a private recording the playback is terrible.
I would buy a new USB audio interface if I was sure that was the issue, but the sales rep at Sweetwater didn't think it would make any difference.
Would anyone have any suggestions on where I might start?

Amount of audio/video data transmitted for sessions !? |

What is the total amount of data transmitted for a 8 person session per second?
When ALL sails are set, 4 video; highest possible amount of data to transmit.
200 megabit per second !?
For upload only.
Based on the fact that 25 megabit upload per second is recommended per person for full function.
In addition, download. x 8
50 megabit per second, total. Estimated.
Or is it much more?
---
And what about average use.
5 without video = 2 megabit upload per second !?
0.3-0.5 megabit upload per second per person.
---
0.3-0.5 megabit upload per second for audio is the figures I see in most cases.
And video upload is usually 0.2 - 2 megabit per second per person.
