Downloading updated app for Mac
#11
Looks like they've just released a new download for version 1.0.3709 which should open on older versions of OSX again: https://www.jamkazam.com/downloads

The problem is that the disk image they put it in is formatted as apfs, which 10.12 and below can't open. All I've done is made an hfs+ disk image and copied the files into it. One person reports that it worked for them on 10.11, but I don't have anything below 10.14 to try on any more.
YOU ARE THE MAN SIR !! PLEASE SHARE THIS FAR AND WIDE. Can you please share the steps you took to make the files apfs ? Ty again.

It's a bit of a chicken and egg problem -- the only way I know how to do it involves using a Mac that's running 10.13 or newer, and if you have one of those you probably don't need to convert it. (And also the update they pushed out today was back in the hfs format so older Macs could open it, so it might not be necessary.)

But the general process is to open Disk Utility on a Mac running 10.13 or newer and create a new empty disk image in apple extended format with no partitions that's big enough to hold the app -- around 250MB should be enough. Then open the official installer disk image and copy everything from it to your new disk image. Then close both the disk images, and if you want to compress the one you made, use the "convert" feature in Disk Utility to convert it to a compressed disk image.

Thanks you RJL20 ; "repackaging" this file in hfs+ format worked for me running OS 10.11.
JamK updates successfully for now.

My Mac is version Catalina / 10.15.6. No problems do occur. I suggest to maybe first update your Mac.

For what it's worth. I always make compressed backup copy of the current JamKazam App, before applying the update. This way when something goes wrong with the update I can easily revert back to the previous working version.
