Perfect settings for Mac Airport Extreme?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone out there has a optimal settings suggestion for a Mac Airport Extreme? I'm really getting disgruntled with the bad network dialog prompts, drop outs and only seeing/ hearing 2 or 3 people in a session consisting of more than 6 sometimes.

Yes I'm hardwired to the Airport Extreme, and have tried several different settings to no avail.  I'm no IT specialist but wouldn't the best networks settings for JamKzm be common on all Mac products regardless of router?

I would like to know too as. I have an Apple Time Capsule and unless I connect straight to the modem I get the port change dialog. I really don't want to buy another router to solve this issue. This also seems to be an old problem. Please someone help.
