Block function in sessions must come back! - Quickly! - Need it!
No motivation should be needed for that
It just must be there - soon!
Motivation - for Prinz Knut
Otherwise, I (and others, for that matter) cannot use this approach:
"Semi OPEN SESSION
People with bad internet connection (crackling, sound breaking up und so weiter) may not be allowed to stay.
If I regard a connection too crappy and so I will kick the person out - maybe without further notice.
People with too high latency in relation to me or others may also be kicked out in the same maner.
The same for people that dont respond to charges".
IF there's no fix for this soon...Can't you just turn them down all the way?
That is of course a solution in some situations.
But those turned down/muted people still occupy a slot.
And if they have crappy connections, they will still affect the session badly
So - no! Not in the long run!

And very important:
I simply dont like to mute or turn down people.
It is in general disgusting to do that.
It must simply be solved in another way. And that can be blocking ...

And then about "The same for people that dont respond to charges"
It all boils down to being about creating and keeping the beat together. Figuratively - out of tempo belongs nowhere.
In all circumstances - without exception.
That is why I am using Jamkazam. Otherwise I do not need JamKazam, of course
No sling in the drum - everyone's whole-hearted effort is required .
Of course, all people can do as they please, so to speak (EXCEPT IN "MY" SESSIONS)
It is not my purpose at all to tell others what to do or not to do, elsewhere.
I speak for my self.
And I want effort and discipline, work and love - nothing less.
Not indifferent people - they are useless. I will not use a second on them - out!
No matter how "good" they are playing - I dont care, it will never be as it should be with indifferent people.
They are impossible to work with.
Well, I maybe should play music elsewhere - that could simply be a solution.

I was not aware of the block feature. I can see the point of having it when addressing etiquette issues. I can see from a perspective it defeats the purpose of having an open session to begin with, which assume we also have to tolerate unwanted participants? But then again, I believe everyone should be socially responsible when joining a session. But not everyone is nice or responsible.
There have been times during an open session we have a good thing going and someone joins and abruptly takes over everything with super loud distortion or effects and drums. This reminds me of people who photo-bomb other people’s photo opportunities. Granted we are still in the early stages of getting used to each other with Jamkazam, I agree with the need of Block feature. And maybe the control is given to the Host of the session?

The purpose with a open house party is to meet people and have party.
If in comes people that are destroying that purpose, there is only one answer - and that is OUT
And the organizer of the open house party shall of course have this right to kick people out.
Without mercy.
The only problem is to judge whether that is fair or not.
People can complain as much as they like, of course.
They can write to me or whatever. And I will look at the matter.
The story is no longer - from my point of view
Yes, the now gone block function was controlled by the "Host of the session".
Or rather the "mix controller" - which is the session starter
I am so to speak not "still in the early stages of getting used to each other with Jamkazam".
I know exactly what it is about. I dont need more knowledge/experience
It is exactly like all other places - same, same. No difference.
it is exactly the same ethics that should apply in JamKazam (or at least in "my" sessions) as it should be everywhere else - in short
And I am by the way not starting total open session.
I start session where people can join - if I allow it. And eventually others in the session shall allow it too, of course.
I am of course telling the other people in the session, that a request have arrived. And we decide then together in good order.
And I will of course not let any in that I have bad experiences with.
But else I am letting all people in.
But that can easily go wrong.
And there a block function would sit well
But all that maybe dont matter now.
I have cancelled most of my big plans for JamKazam.
In the future I maybe only will participate rarely and randomly in sessions.
I am simply looking for other options

Yes, I fully understand that you agree.
You are writing "I agree with the need of Block feature".
It is more some of your middle bills that I comment on
And thanks for your thanks - very good. Thank you too
