Pitch change on playing a .wav file

That was it!  Thanks Dimitri, never thought of that.  Took me a while to figure out how to reconfigure Audacity to get the correct sample rate, but once you pointed it out, I got it resaved as a .wav at 48000 & works like a charm.  Thanks again!
