IRIG Keys I/O help

I have an Irig keys I/O which jamkazam recognize but when joining a session i am unable to use and make sound comes out. 

any help is appreciated.

how are you monitoring your output?
what type of computer are you using?
does the interface work with other programs, such as Audacity or Garageband or whatever you have?
