List of Audio Interfaces
#81
Has anyone out there attempted using a Soundcraft ui24R with JamKazam?

I've been struggling with it all day - I heard the test sound once, and had feedback once, but after 4 hours I haven't been able to get either of them again.
How about the old Presonus Firestudio?

Thanks...

They're split into 4 categories:

  1. Audio Interfaces Confirmed Working With JamKazam
  2. Audio Interfaces Confirmed Working With JamKazam, But Not Working Well
  3. Audio Interfaces Confirmed NOT Working With JamKazam
  4. Audio Interfaces Mentioned, But Not Yet Determined If Working With JamKazam
If you're using another interface, or if you're using one on this list that falls in a different category (such as Mentioned..., and you have it Working...), let me know, and I'll update. I'm not sure if others can update this post or not, but feel free to message me or post a reply here, and I'll update it. I've included links to product pages where enough information has been provided in the post, and a product page still exists. I've also noted if the audio interface has been discontinued.

JamKazam admin, LMK if there's a better way to do this, or a better place to put it.

Thanks, all, for providing info on your experiences with these audio interfaces, and may your latency while jamming ever be low!  ;-)

Thanks for all of your research! You mention that the Behringer U-PHORIA UMC204 was Not Yet Determined If Working With JamKazam, and is now discontinued. What about the Behringer U-PHORIA UMC204HD?

Thanks, Gilligan - added your MIDAS to the list!

Thanks, Jason - got your T2, T4 and Clarett 8 PreX (assuming that's the right one because you mention Thunderbolt - LMK if incorrect) added to the list!

I  forgot to indicate my experiences, sorry.  Here goes:
I too can confirm Behringer X-Air series XR-18 works and works well.  Used in our band rehearsal space as our PA, I can have vocals, stereo keyboard, mono guitar amp DI, and a midi track drum VSTi triggered by electronic kits all running stable simultaneously from an older Windows 10 laptop.  Currently the gear is packed up, but I recall the setup reported around 8ms latency, maybe lower (I'll hook it back up and retest)
Tascam US-800:  works with JamKazam.  Latest drivers set to smallest buffer size yields about 8ms interface latency, not great but works
A recent gem of a find:  recently discontinued but found on eBay for $59:  ESI UGM96.  a super-small 2x2 interface, one guitar input, one 1/4" TRS mic input (switchable to Hi-Z guitar);  one 1/4" stereo headphone out, and one 1/4 TRS line out.  That's it.  Latest driver is stable in Win10 64-bit, and reporting 2ms latency in JK!  Great portable rig

Thanks, blandis! Added the Tascam US-800 and the ESI to the list (and the XR-18 is on there, too). Congrats on the finding the ESI - that's great latency!
Clarification - Midas MR18 is being used with a Mac OS X.14(mojave) and latest build (4/4/2020) build 1.20 "1.0.3657"

marhdeth - thanks for the iO4 detail. I’ve added it to that interface’s info in the list.

Doug_SR - This is the first mention of that Soundcraft so far - I’ve added it to the list in the last category. Same with the PreSonus FireStudio.

Djs, thanks for the info on the Fireface - I’ve added that one to the list.

LOVESLABS, you’re welcome!  We have not had a post about the Behringer U-PHORIA UMC204HD yet, but I’ve added it to the list in the last category.

Gilligan - thanks for the clarification! I’ve updated the MIDAS entry in the list.

Hi,
I'm new to Jamkazam and am looking to find an affordable audio interface and mic combination to use for myself, on acoustic piano, and for a singer, in her home, to rehearse together during this shutdown. Peter Walker of Jamkazam has recommended the Behringer U-Phoria UMC204HD USB Audio Interface, which he says has a native ASIO driver which works well at low latency; however, I've seen reviews (on Audio Science Review, for example) claiming that it's not good with headphones. Can anyone vouch for its headphone output quality? And has anyone used the Audient iD4 USB 2-In/2-Out High Performance Audio Interface, which appears on both the "Confirmed Working" and "Not Yet Determined" lists above? Its reviews in general are terrific, but I don't know whether there's any reason to go for the Behringer instead with Jamkazam, given Peter's recommendation.
Thanks in advance for any advice you can provide...

It looks like this post crossed in the ether with LOVESLABS' and kkriner's posts about the Behringer U-Phoria UMC204HD USB Audio Interface. I'd be interested to hear whether LOVESLABS has had a good experience using it with headphones.

Good catch, Christopher! If Peter Walker of Jamkazam has recommended the Behringer U-Phoria UMC204HD USB Audio Interface, which he says has a native ASIO driver which works well at low latency, then that's good enough for me to add it to the list as working. Thanks!
