List of Audio Interfaces
#71
(04-05-2020, 08:34 AM)Hey Paul,I’m looking at using JK, and I also have a similar setup as you. I have a Digital 192 digital IO, on OSX 10.5.8 (was 10.8.5 a typo?) with PT HD3 v8.0.1.Can you tell me how you’re connecting to JK? Since my PPC is ancient, I figure JK won’t work. I wanted to connect to a W10 pc.since I have this rig I would prefer to NOT have to buy a cheap interface. Any info would be much appreciated! Thx,Brian White Wrote: Hey,

great that you are making a lust of working audio interface’s, the one’s we are using with big succes and very low latency are not on either of lists and maybe you can add them.

Our drummers uses the M-Audio Delta1010 (breakout box version) WIN 10 , Latency of 4.3 ms
Our basist uses the Behringer FCA1616 connect thru firewire
im using a Avid Digidesign 192 - OSX 10.8.5, Latency of 2,9ms

Those PCI interfaces are indestructible and possess, still after 20 years, really good latencies.

Thanks for the information, Paul! I've updated the list with these 3 interfaces, and glad to hear it's working for you all.

Anyone running a UA Apollo x4 through a new Mac? I was running a Focusrite Saffire Pro40 On my old Mac with a latency of 8.3 at 2.5ms, 7.4 at 1ms and it worked great. I upgraded my system for recording purposes but hoping my new setup will be just as good if not better. It will be Thunderbolt 3 once setup. I running a Fios internet connection with a download of 500 and upload of 800 at the computer. Anyone out there running an Apollo with a similar setup? I would hate to lose the function of Jamkazam with an equipment upgrade.

Great list - thanks for putting it together.   There are clearly lots of people trying to get JK working now for the first time, and this is really helpful....

I'm getting in touch to say that I managed to get JK working successfully today with my Steinberg UR22 (the old, discontinued one), with a Mac running MacOS HighSierra version 10.13.6.

So I guess the UR22 can be moved out of the "Not yet determined" list to the "Confirmed working" list, if you plan to re-post an updated version at some point.

Regards,

Aldo

Hi, all! I've gone through all the forum posts so far and compiled a list of audio interfaces for our use.

They're split into 4 categories:

  1. Audio Interfaces Confirmed Working With JamKazam
  2. Audio Interfaces Confirmed Working With JamKazam, But Not Working Well
  3. Audio Interfaces Confirmed NOT Working With JamKazam
  4. Audio Interfaces Mentioned, But Not Yet Determined If Working With JamKazam
If you're using another interface, or if you're using one on this list that falls in a different category (such as Mentioned..., and you have it Working...), let me know, and I'll update. I'm not sure if others can update this post or not, but feel free to message me or post a reply here, and I'll update it. I've included links to product pages where enough information has been provided in the post, and a product page still exists. I've also noted if the audio interface has been discontinued.

JamKazam admin, LMK if there's a better way to do this, or a better place to put it.

Thanks, all, for providing info on your experiences with these audio interfaces, and may your latency while jamming ever be low!  ;-)

Per this thread, https://forum.jamkazam.com/showthread.php?tid=343, you can move the Presonus Audio Boxes and Studio 24C to the "Confirmed NOT working with JamKazam" category due to high jitter associated with uncontrollable buffer size (AKA: number of samples, block size). Also, add the RME Fireface UFX+ to the "Confirmed WORKING with JamKazam category.

  1. Audio Interface information: AIUPresonus Audio Boxes and Studio 24C, https://www.presonus.com/products/Studio-24c/downloads, AIU Driver: Presonus Universal Control     3.2.1.57677 for Win x64, USB connection from AIU to PC.

  2. Operating System information: Current Windows 10 64-bit

  3. JamKazam information: JK Build 1.20 - "1.0.3657"

  4. Any additional context about behavior: jitter induced crackling and popping during session

Aldo - you’re welcome, and glad it’s helpful!  I’ve moved the UR22 (original) to the Confirmed Working category in the list.

Stevant, thank you! Moved the Saffire Pro40 to the Confirmed Working category in the list.

TomDill, thank you for all the info & the thread reference! I’ve added the RME to the Confirmed Working category. The PreSonus AudioBox iOne is currently in the “Not Working Well” category (and I’ve added the other info you provided), and I’ve added the Presonus Studio24c to that same category. The Audiobox iTwo and 1818VSL are Confirmed Working and in that category. The Audiobox USB was confirmed working in this post by mjdps3@aol.com - you might reach out to that person in the forums and inquire about his/her setup.

I’m using an Alesis iO4 in Windows 10, but it comes into Reaper using ASIO4ALL, then over to JamKazam and back with ReaRoute. Everything works perfectly.
