Every latency is UNKNOWN
#1
Hello.
I just installed JAMKAZAM yesterday and it works fine, I have a very good latency 8.7 (green circle) but when I try to search for musicians or join any sessions everyone latency appears UNKNOWN . Is there a way to fix this?

I am not aware of a fix! Other than JamKazam must fix it.

8.7ms latency is not very good. It is just good or alright.

4 is very good - 2 is excellent. For example.

I find that the best way to determine if another player's latency is acceptable to you, is to try and join a session with them. Once you're in a session, the latency reported seems to be pretty accurate.

Yes, the most accurate way to know other peoples audio gear latency and the total latency to them is in a session.

But of course it would be best if the UNKNOWN label instead was with UNACCEPTABLE, POOR, FAIR or GOOD. And with the actual numbers.

There was a time when it actually worked decent. Some years ago.

A couple of months ago there were actually quite a few that worked.

There is another thread about it - somewhere.

Thanks, Domingo
