Basic setup without audio interface
#1
How do I use JamKazam without an audio interface?
I just want to use the built-in mic in my laptop for input and headphones for the output?  On step 2 of the setup there is no option for that.
I'd also like to just use a USB mic instead of the built-in mic.

You can not use JamKazam without an audio interface.

But your built-in mic should be connected to a internal audio interface (otherwise the mic would not work - and so on).

And internal audio interface can usually be used in JamKazam.

They have usually lower sound quality, higher latency etc.

You should also be able to use a USB mic, I think

If you provide us with the necessary information, you could get more decent guidance - than the sparse so far.

FWIW, there have been a few folks who have reported using JamKazam without an audio interface.

I just did a session over the weekend with a friend, and he used a Mac with the Apple EarPods (wired) with the inline microphone. He sung and played guitar, and it worked beautifully for us - very low latency, and I could hear him sing & play.

YMMV, but it may be worth a try to see if it works for you!

Sorry. Hans, you're correct, and good point. To be more specific, I meant without an EXTERNAL audio interface.

Thanks!
