One rack exported silent - any way to retrieve locally?
#1
Hello.

Loving jamkazam so far! Last night though, one of the jams I recorded with a friend had an issue exporting - the steam mix some out correctly (includes vocal track), however the individual vocal 'stem' is silent. Anyone know why? And... is there any way to fix? Both the users (on both ends) have the same issue with the blank vocal track. Is there any 'cache' or local folder where I could find the originally recorded file? if so, where is that folder (on windows).

Thanks,

When you export the track using file manager - it is saved in the users documents/JamKazam/recordings folder...... but the ‘raw recording files’ are already stored on the users pc /Mac and you can access those. It’s one level ‘up’ from documents. In users music/JamKazam/ ..... folder tree. There are lots of nested folders in there with long hexadecimal names - but check the dates and eventually you find a set of ‘.ogg’ files. These. Are the raw recordings. .ogg files are. Compressed audio like MP3 and can be loaded into any daw for editing /mixing.
