Delay echo in recording
#1
My wife and I are testing Jamkazam.
Were both using Mac pros with Focusrite audio interfaces.
Were able to play together fine but the audio recording has a delay.
Does anyone know how to alleviate this issue?
Thanks for your help,
Christopher

In what way does the recording have a delay?
And how are the circumstances otherwise?

For example: Do you both use the same local area network?
If so, then you should have a total latency to each other of about 15 milliseconds or lower - provided the audio interfaces latency is less than 5 milliseconds or so

If you're familiar with a digital delay audio effect there it a doubling of the signal and in this case just one repetition. This is true for both my vocal and guitar and my wife's vocal and bass.  It's as if Jamkazam is recording my signal plus my signal heard through my wife's account delayed by her latency or the inherent latency of the internet. Her signal is theoretically delayed the same way.

We're both plugged into the same router.

My latency is about 6ms and her's about 8ms.
