Echo in the audio output on JamKazam
#1
I am using JamKazam with a Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 audio interface. The interface works great by itself, but when I connect to JamKazam there is an echo in the voice and instrument audio to my headphones. How do I get rid of the echo?

Hi John,
Make sure you do not have direct monitoring on. On 1st & 2nd gen Scarlett’s, there is a switch or knob for direct monitoring. On the latest 3rd gen, direct monitoring is enabled in the Focusrite Control app. Due to the round trip latency when using JamKazam, direct monitoring should be turned off, and psychologically you will adjust to the latencies from all players (to a degree). Hope this helps

Also, sometimes if you set your interface to the default soundcard on your PC you will get the sound from JK. Make sure your volume on your PC (the speaker icon in the bottom right corner on your desktop taskbar) is turned all the way down)
