3rd Gen Focusrite Scarlet 212 issues

I have the same symptoms with an m3 pro mac. the legacy version worked with an intel based (2012) mac. Jam Kazam does not ask for permission to access the microphone and so I cannot flip the switch to give it permission in Security/microphone access.
