How to confuse a 3rd gen Focusrite 4i4. Is *440* a bad thing? It works...
#1
I have a Focusrite 4i4 3rd Gen which works very happily but I came across this slightly curious thing today when exploring

1 Set up the Focusrite via Audio Gear with a setting of 44100 - mine fails every time leaving a *440* samples

2 What I would normally do is to set it up at 96000 and 16 and it works every time and produces this result - https://screenrec.com/share/oLAWSergdY

3 But I thought what happens if I leave it on the dreaded *440* setting? Well it IMPROVES the latency! https://screenrec.com/share/m6ZocqPvlW I have no idea what that is about.

4 And in a solo session it then has interesting stats - https://screenrec.com/share/q4BtWJh0b5 when playing with a recording and has quite low latency (I know it's not true but it's amusing - https://screenrec.com/share/pg7aIBrvY4

Counter intuitive is the phrase that comes to mind Smile
