@drussell: not really a JK issue, but XR-18 routing: set tracks 17+18 source to USB output using XAir Edit's routing screen. This would be how you would hear playback from your computer's DAW (if you used the XR as a recording interface) and for JamKazam (same setup for both). Check YouTube videos for more help.
I forgot to indicate my experiences, sorry. Here goes:
I too can confirm Behringer X-Air series XR-18 works and works well. Used in our band rehearsal space as our PA, I can have vocals, stereo keyboard, mono guitar amp DI, and a midi track drum VSTi triggered by electronic kits all running stable simultaneously from an older Windows 10 laptop. Currently the gear is packed up, but I recall the setup reported around 8ms latency, maybe lower (I'll hook it back up and retest)
Tascam US-800: works with JamKazam. Latest drivers set to smallest buffer size yields about 8ms interface latency, not great but works
A recent gem of a find: recently discontinued but found on eBay for $59: ESI UGM96. a super-small 2x2 interface, one guitar input, one 1/4" TRS mic input (switchable to Hi-Z guitar); one 1/4" stereo headphone out, and one 1/4 TRS line out. That's it. Latest driver is stable in Win10 64-bit, and reporting 2ms latency in JK! Great portable rig
