I can barely read most of the grey text on the site.   I'm sure you young folks can.  I'm using a Mac with the contrast turned all the way up, 23" screen, etc.   Any suggestions for getting good old black on white?  I'm getting it in this text box but nowhere else.  LOL

Not sure; you may have tried this already - System Preferences/Displays/Color/Calibrate

I agree the GUI is not that great - the JamKazam folks think so as well, and *reportedly* it's going to be updated
