List of Audio Interfaces
#1
Hi, all! I've gone through all the forum posts so far and compiled a list of audio interfaces for our use.

They're split into 4 categories:

  1. Audio Interfaces Confirmed Working With JamKazam
  2. Audio Interfaces Confirmed Working With JamKazam, But Not Working Well
  3. Audio Interfaces Confirmed NOT Working With JamKazam
  4. Audio Interfaces Mentioned, But Not Yet Determined If Working With JamKazam
If you're using another interface, or if you're using one on this list that falls in a different category (such as Mentioned..., and you have it Working...), let me know, and I'll update. I'm not sure if others can update this post or not, but feel free to message me or post a reply here, and I'll update it. I've included links to product pages where enough information has been provided in the post, and a product page still exists. I've also noted if the audio interface has been discontinued.

JamKazam admin, LMK if there's a better way to do this, or a better place to put it.

Thanks, all, for providing info on your experiences with these audio interfaces, and may your latency while jamming ever be low!  ;-)

Behringer XR18 (Air) works really well.
One does need some insight in the internal (USB-)routing of the mixer.
If setup correctly it is '16 channels of full control' over what you're sending down Jamkazam.
On OSX, local gear latency is at 8.3ms. I/O jitter at 0.4#

Hi, all, and thank you for all the info!  I've updated the list to match the forums current state. Let me know as things change, and I'll do my best to keep this post updated.

Also, when posting (as the folks who replied to this post have excellently done!), please include as much of the following information as possible, as it's very helpful to understand/diagnose:

  1. Audio Interface information: Specific model name, product generation (1st generation, etc.) if applicable, a link to the product page (shows pictures that might help diagnose/recommend action), what drivers/which version of them you're using, what system settings (with screen shots or exact text), which inputs/outputs, how it's connected to your computer, etc.
  2. Operating System information: Operating system platform, name, specific version and build numbers (if applicable).
  3. JamKazam information: If you have an account, if you've been able to install and log in to the app, if you've tried to configure audio gear (what step, screenshots, etc., so we can see what you're experiencing), specific text of any informational or error messages, specific version of JamKazam (Can be accessed on Mac in the JamKazam application under the JamKazam --> About JamKazam menu. My current version is: "Build 1.20 - "1.0.3640"". This helps us and JamKazam to know which version you're using and what works in which version, if a newer version has addressed the issue you're encountering, or if a new version has cause some issue.
  4. Any additional context about behavior: crackling, popping, the app shutting down, what you were trying to do when this happened/
All of this will help folks try to understand cause and effect, and allow folks to help.  Thank you so much, and keep the excellent information coming!

working with Jamkazam [build 1.2 - "1.0.3640"] on iMac 2011 [21.5" 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7, 16GB Ram, macOS 10.13.6]

Interfaces:
MOTU Traveller [1st Gen FW400]
Line 6 HX Stomp [USB2.0]
Zoom Q2n-4K [USB2.0]
Apple iMac 2011 built-in I/O
Apple Mac Mini 2010 built-in I/O

Issues:
In General, audio jitter some spikes (unsure if this is hardware or signal issue)
No test network, often drops connects (But I suspect these issues are user-capacity not hardware issues)

I'm working with an Alesis Multimix 16, Firewired to a fairly new Mac, hardwired to my modem (50-70mbps download)......Getting notices that my gear has a significant amount of latency (10.3ms). As a newbie here, can anyone tell me if my connection is the issue or if it's the mixer? If it's the mixer, would it be possible as a workaround to just buy a cheap(er) "approved" interface (like Beringer 302USB) and send the mixed-down drums through that to the Mac? Or would I still have the same latency issues? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
