Has anyone tried JK with the new MacOS 26 Tahoe?

I am running it on my other machines without issue and really like it, and would like to update my music machine.

On Mac app, where is the Pro mixer?

It's through the "Manage" button top left on the PC, but I can't find that control on Mac for the life of me. Trying to access the Pro Mixer at the moment.

MacOS Client (1878-Intel) reports needing 11.00

I'm trying to install and run the macOS version of the app. On the download page, the prereqs are listed as macOS 10.15 or later (Catalina).I have 10.15.7, the download that results from clicking the download button is "JamKazam-1878-Intel.dmg".

The install Icon shows an incorrect OS Version (No entry sign over app), when I execute the app ignoring the ICON warning, the app reports

"You Can't use this version of the application "JamKazam" with this version of macOS. You have macOS 10.15.7. The application requires macOS 11.0 or later."

Contrary to what is indicated on the download page !!!

Imac Sequoia problems

Hello, I have been having issues with my Imac running Sequoia. Jamkazam does not show in privacy and security. I know the gear works because I can do sessions on my macbook. Everything works, I can see myself but there is no input signal. I started a session and invited a friend and I could hear them fine. They could not gear me. It seems I have tried everything to get JK to show in microphone under privacy security. Any suggestions? Thanks

Mac Plug In Issue?

I am not sure if this is a Mac problem, but it may be.

I am able to hear my guitar but for some reason, it does not let me hear the guitar signal post my plug in. I should be hearing a distorted guitar sound, but I am only hear the clean sound.

Advice would be very much appreciated!

MacOS Sonoma

Hi All,

I've upgraded to Sonoma, and my partner is having problems with both my sound and video. I see and hear him clearly.

We both see my meters move when I speak or play, but he hears nothing (I hear myself through my headphones).

My video is smeared for both of us--I tried two different cameras and got much different, but both unusable, results.

Anybody manage to do better?

My interface is a Focusrite Scarlett Solo, and I'm running an M1 Pro Macbook, Sonoma 14.0.

Can't select genres in "Desired Genre" in "current interests" profile edit

]I am unable to select "desired genres" on the "edit profile: current interests" page of "my account". My "Desired Genre" still displays "None specified".

I have searched the forums and can find no references to this. I'm sure I'm overlooking something very basic, but I can't figure out what.

What am I doing wrong?

Audio Subsystem Unstable

I had to get a new Mac and now I can’t get JamKazam to launch. I keep getting the Audio Subsystem Unstable message. I’ve tried resetting the audio MIDI setup and going into GarageBand, etc. but nothing is working. Advice welcome.

MacBook Air M2 (2022) Please Help

Every other application works, Garage Band, Sonobus, Jamulus, my DAW. Everything is freshly downloaded and installed on a brand new Macbook Air (M2) Chipset. I have run through your help link and everything is configured like it says in the Forum.

It did not prompt for any Rosetta 2 installation. I noticed under Settings / Security / Privacy that all the apps (Discord, Garage Band, Jamulus, Logic Pro, OBS, Sonobus) are all listed and enabled. Not sure if this will fix JK, nor do I see a way to add it to the list.

Problem with Apple update to Ventura

Hello everyone,

I have been running JamKazam on my MacBook Pro (M1 chip) for months with no problems. I recently updated the operating system on the MBP from Monterey to Ventura and now JK does not execute properly - there is no text on the screen. I have deleted JK from the MBP, emptied the trash, rebooted the MBP, and reinstalled JK. The problem still exists. I would be most grateful for any advice on a fix.

Mac M1 Pro and Max JK Issues?

Hiya - since I picked up my M1 Pro MBP when I try to connect to JK - a single solo session works fine. But when I switch to a group session - we get terrible input and output jitter over audio devices, sporadic spikes and it's unusable.

I have tried using my PreSonus Studio 24c - and the direct Interface on my Roland TD27. The PreSonus worked great over Midi using my previous Macbook Pro (Intel) and an Intel Based Hackintosh - so the culprit appears to be the chips here. My guess would be it's to do with Rosetta.

Of course I've tried multiple cables etc, direct input, hubs and the issue remains. The Internet latency is always fine but the input and output jitter it's claiming is the device goes absolutely crazy. Cpu usage is fine around 5-6%

I guess the question is - is there anything we can do about this?

random crashes and spinning wheel in 12.3.1

I get random cra$ng of the program, e.g., when modifying the effects during a session or even re-syncing.I see Media relay server disconnected messages intermittently. Since I don't pay I can't submit my log session. Is there a way to forward those to someone?

Mac issues

All of a sudden, after over a year of very successful jamming I haven’t been able to get on at all tonight. As some others users have experienced in the past, JK starts up but then when I go into a session it crashes after 10-20 seconds.

I did add AmpliTube 5 as a plug in a few days ago but that all worked fine and there was a macOS update I ran yesterday and that is the only other thing that has changed.

I decided to stay out of sessions and deleted my audio set up to try and start again. I’m running a MOTO M2 and I can add my bass on channel 1 but as soon as I try to add the mic on channel 2 it crashes. The MOTU works fine with other applications so it does seem to be just JK.

Is anyone else experiencing new issues?

My current OS is Catalina v10.15.7

JamKazam/MacPro buffering and releasing audio

I am using JamKazam on a MacBook Pro running OS Sierra with a Behringer U-Phoria UM2 audio interface. Intermittently what happens is the outbound audio will stop for a second or 2, and then it seems to dump the buffered audio but it just sounds like garbled data. Seems like it's buffering and releasing for some reason. It happens intermittently every couple of minutes. Not sure if the problem is on the MacBook, JamKazam software or the Behringer interface.
Any ideas?

Oct 2021 JamKazam Crashes After Starting a Session

Sadly, after usingJamKazam weekly with complete success for a very long time, suddenly it doesn't work on my desktop computer at all.
I have a 2018 iMac running Mojave with a 1 TB SSD and 40 GB of RAM. I connect a Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 to it via USB C. Initially what seemed to be happening was that when I started JamKazam, it would crash within 40 seconds. This happened every single time. The troubleshooting that I tried was 1) Restarting JamKazam, 2) Rebooting the computer (and only running the Focusrite Control Pannel & JamKazam), 3) Disconnecting the Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 and using my USB based Blue Yeti, 4) I uninstalled the JamKazam software and reinstalled it.

At this point, the best that the situation improved is that it seemed like I could load the program and it wouldn't crash, but as soon as I joined a session, the program would crash within 20-30 seconds. I have been trying different things for two weeks now with no success on this iMac.
I have been able to play in one session using my underpowered MacBook Air 2018 with a 500 GB SSD and 16GB RAM running Catalina. It only crashed once, but for some reason the volume that is heard by the others on the session is very loud and I can do nothing to decrease it using the JamKazam program, the controls on my Focusrite 4i4 Control Pannel software, or mic. I tried the Blue Yeti with the MacBook Air and even with the Gain turned all of the way down, I still go into the red zone in the JamKazam software and it is too loud of the others still. In addition, I never intended to use this laptop for JamKazam, and although it sort of works, I really don't like it. JamKazam did crash once, but once I reloaded, I was able to continue.

If anyone had any suggestions for dealing with my iMac, I would really appreciate it. I wondered if there was something 'more' than just deleting JamKazam that could flush out anything left on my computer that could fully clear out anything related to JamKazam.
