Zoom Q2N audio function problems

Set as webcam.  Works fine for video.  Is seen and selected as audio source in step two of the six step audio setup, but not seen during testing of same.  Two messages:  one says gear's not good enough, another says no audio source detected, and to try reconnecting source (Q2N) restarting sowfware.  Same result.   The associatate help link isn't functional either.

Any suggestions?

When I do the audio set up, I get this message:  Notice it sees the Q2n, and allows me to select it as the source, using headphones/speakers as output, but it won't get past step two, and doesn't recognize the Q2n.   See  the attachment.
