Mix Queued for days and days
#1
Has anyone been able to successfully record a session recently? In my file manager the status will show 'mix queued' for several days and then will eventually fail.

It seems to help if everyone in a session you're recording stays online untill the files are processed/saved.

We have had succesfull recordings.

We do that. In fact the status of all of the phases are green, indicating that all files have been uploaded.

Did you locate the files on your harddrive?
There should be several. If I'm not mistaking a .wav & a .ogg for/of every peer and something like MIX.ogg (?)

Yes, there are files on my hard drive. There is an .ogg file for each person/instrument in the session as well as StreamMix.ogg, which as I understand it is my personal session mix as it heard it during the session. The 'final mix' that JamKazam is still processing is supposed to be the mix as defined by the levels in the Mixer window.

You could make your own mix in e.g. Audacity if it is really important to you.

Actually, I already tried that and surprisingly the individual tracks are significantly out of time with each other. However, the SessionMix.ogg file does seem to be more or less how we played it. But the bottom line is that the system's final mix process should work.

All recording in the last 5 months - with no exceptions - have FAILED in the servers mixing proces.

Or the server is still trying to finish the mix.

But it never finish with a success.

It is not because people are preventing the mixing process - by closing the program and not come back.

It is a lot worse - something basic with the whole process.

The result will be, as always the last 5 months: "MIX FAILED" - with no exceptions.

Here is one of the last succeded mix - or rather a link to it.

One can find the working mix in JamKazam - but one has to go back 5 months or so

I must admit that I dont have checked in some time.

And if I am wrong - it is only good

BUT - very important:

I have observed NO problems with recording themselv.

All are good - one can open and play recordings in sessions.

And there is no problem what so ever with the recorded files on the hard drive.

All is good - except the servers mixing process

And different browsers - that not can play the links, nor the succeded ones.

Only Chrome and Safari can play the links.

Of course maybe other browsers - that I know nothing about, yet.

Firefox CAN/WILL not - I am of course angry!

There is for example nothing what so ever wrong with this recording.

NOTHING!

It is just not succesfully mixet by the server.

That is all

One can find it in my profil - 12 days back. But as usually: MIX FAILED

Likely more easy to find in VIEW THE FEED - maybe

I have had a succession of files which have come back with MIX FAILED after seemingly successful uploads. I also have files back of the other person in the session so it just seems to be the mix bit having a problem. i have got the files out of C:\user\username\documents\jamkazam\recordings\etc and put them together in my DAW. but I thought as a new member starting to use it I would mention it

I changed my default browser to Chrome (it was IE and or / Firefox before) and suddenly my mixing bar turned green. Maybe a coincident, but give it a try.
