What is Frame Size?
#4
Small update. After playing around with these settings again last night I have been able to determine that they have a direct affect on your audio interface latency. Whatever the change in Audio Frame Size that you select, expect to see a change of 2x the difference from where it was set before the change. I assume this is because it is audio in and audio out (the frame size number is for one way, so it must get doubled for a round trip). Here are a few examples:

1) If you were on the default setting of 2.5ms and change to 2.0ms the difference is 0.5ms. 0.5 x 2 = 1.0. So you should see you interface latency decrease by 1ms.

2) If you were on the default setting of 2.5ms and change to 5.0ms the difference is 2.5ms. 2.5 x 2 = 5.0. So you should see you interface latency increase by 5ms.

3) Best case is going from default (2.5) to 1.0. This is a change of 1.5 x 2 = 3.0 so you would shave off 3ms from your interface latency (assuming your system can handle it.)

You will know if there is an issue at lower settings because you will get clicks and other audible issues.
