test router and network issues

Thanks - how do I look at the log? 
I'm also unable to test, and when I go to a session I get a message that others are not able to hear me.

One tutorial I watched didn't mention adjusting the router.  One tutorial did.  It said to go into manage, select network, select IP protocol, then select IPV 4, not 6.  I am unable to select IPV 4.  Does this matter?  Why don't other tutorials not even mention the router?  Thanks.
