BOSS GT-8 Guitar Effects Processor as audio interface with Mac?
#1
Is it possible to use a BOSS GT-8 Guitar Effects Processor as an audio interface with a Mac which uses the Core Audio driver?

I have read that ASIO, for example, is aimed at bypassing the Windows system and that Mac needs no such assistance.

The digital output from the GT-8 is EIAJ CP1201, S/P DIF phono, but I see adaptors to USB are available.

Thanks, Mike

I have a Boss ME-80. And it can be used as an audio interface.

But as an audio interface it is not working along with Jamkazam (in Windows, that is). Useless for that purpose.

Maybe it is the same with BOSS GT-8 Guitar Effects Processor (and Mac)

Thanks Hans. What problems did you have?

Thanks, milmorguy

Well - I cant remember exactly.

No ASIO driver available for that device. If I remember right.
Only ASIO4ALL and WDM. Relatively high or skyhigh latency was the result, I think.
And no option for turning of "Direct Monitoring".
And no microphone input.

Useless - overall.
