Balanced mode vs. High Performance mode - jefapp@gmail.com - 07-02-2020

Every time on log on to JK, i get the following message:

"System is in Balanced mode.  Switch to High Performance mode for best experience with JamKazam"

How do I execute this switch?

I'm guessing this is referring to your current power plan on your Windows device (usually a laptop). If that's the case you can either plug the laptop into AC power (connect the charger) or change the Windows power plan to High Performance.

You should never run JK on a laptop on battery power. Also be sure you've disabled WiFi and Bluetooth while you're using JK.

I'm impressed that the JK client is checking this and letting users know. I haven't seen this message myself.

@StuartR is correct. It is referring to the Windows Power Settings.

Here is an article explaining how to change it.

For those running Windows 10, apparently, there is a hidden power setting called "Ultimate Performance". I'm not sure if it will reduce the latency further on JK but if you want to try it, here is the link to the article explaining how to un-hide and enable it.
