How to correct red latency? - Netdawg - 06-21-2020 I just started with Jamkazam. My buddy has a very old Alesis eight channel audio interface. We were able to play together, but on his stats, latency was red. We went to Manage - Audio - Audio Booster and tried to lower the latency, but it resulted in static in his headset. Do you think the audio interface is the issue? Is that the place to start? Typically is the internet speed the problem? He has a standard cable internet connection and is wired in to his router. Thanks for the help. RE: How to correct red latency? - Hans Peter Augustesen - 06-21-2020 What is the model name for that Alesis eight channel audio interface? Are you using a dedicated ASIO driver for that? Or what? You cannot get decent help with the sparse information you provide until now - for sure RE: How to correct red latency? - Chris Frost - 06-21-2020 You should get a good idea of the latency as you setup the audio gear. During setup, you can alter the sample rate and f=buffer size - this made a big difference for me. As Hans Peter suggests - check the driver (ASIO drivers are recommended) .... there are lots of posts already on this topic and some very useful YouTube videos. |
